El Patio Colombian Restaurant — Restaurant in Hollywood

WARNING!!!I had a very weird experience here. I went one night when I had a layover in the ft laudardale airport, since it was 15 min away. When we went to pay we asked the server to put $40 in cash and the rest on my credit card. Which should have been only $27. The server grabbed my credit card and ran outside. She never said why??! When I asked her why? she said she was having problems with the machine! But why go outside ?? Then when we left there was a women standing facing a store door that was complete closed. Which by the way all the other stores were closed! When I checked my receipt, they had charged me more on my credit card than the $27 which means she kept some of the cash. Also, the tip was already added to our bill which no one mentioned and we tipped on top of that. I was weirded out by the whole experience. PLEASE do not pay with a credit card at this restaurant, I’m almost sure they copied my card. The food however was great and one of the servers...

I ordered lengua salsa criolla, and the dish looked wonderful when it arrived—good portion size. However, when I started eating, I realized that most of the plate consisted of potatoes and a lot of vegetables. There were only two small pieces of lengua. The vegetables, being the same color as the meat, made it look like there was more, but in reality, it was just two small pieces. It was only accompanied by rice and a salad that consisted of just lettuce and two slices of tomato. We ordered a blackberry juice in water, and more than half of the glass was foam, the experience was bad in every way. According to them, tips are mandatory at 18%. When we complained about the food, they didn’t offer any solution. And even though the service and the food were not good enough, the manager said that we still had to pay the tip. First and foremost my wife and I visited this spot today and wanted a break from the casino which are staying at for a couple of days!! I have never been met with such rude and lack luster customer service in my life!! The first two females didn't speak any English in America and directed us to wait for a third female who totally ignored us. I had to ask her for a price to be acknowledged then she acted like she doesn't speak English either!! My opinion if you don't speak English in America, go back to your country!! I'm so tired of these people coming here and act like it's a burden for them to speak in language the country is built on!! Lastly, these females today need re-training or termination and I'm posting this on my federal job website so everyone knows about our experience today!! Save your money and go where you...
