If I could put zero stars I would, today's service was the worst and I've come here a couple of times already but I will not coming back to this location. First we were sat down and asked for drinks I asked for a simple 2 cokes and one water went ahead also put in our order for everything because we were there for a quick lunch we got there at 2:45 didn't leave till 4:00. Our appetizers were brought out before our drinks the server didn't even notice we had to say something 20 minutes later because he took so long I no longer wanted my coke so we asked if it could be switched to 1 coke 2 waters was told yes and he showed up with the 2 cokes either way we didn't think much of it because he took so long maybe he wasn't going to charge us. We had asked for our desserts to go because the wait was terribly long and even that took about 20 minutes after we had already packed everything in our take home boxes we started questioning if they had forgotten about our dessert still no check either. When we finally got our check and dessert at the same time. We were still charged for the the two sodas which I had let go because yes we did receive them but I decided I was going to leave a smaller tip due to the time it was taking and not listening to instructions. I payed through their touch-less pay option stated on the receipt and headed out when I was stopped in the parking lot by the waiter asking if I was going to pay. I couldn't believe what was happening. I showed him my emailed receipt and was asked to go inside to show his manager (meanwhile I'm 9 months pregnant due at any moment) I waddled back and spoke to the manager where all he had to say was "I'm sorry". He didn't know that the touch-less pay was an option. How are you a manager?? I complained about how long everything took and his servers mistakes, that he was lucky I still left him a tip and that I didn't complain before leaving. I still wasn't offered any kind of compensation and I'm way too prideful to ask for any. I just walked out completely upset. I used to enjoy coming here...
Read moreI just dined at the Holmdel Houlihans in the Commons and all I have to say is I’m appalled by this experience. To make a long story short my fiancé and I ordered our entrees which came out fine, but the garlic roll that came out with my friend’s side salad was stale beyond belief. She picked up her roll and handed it to the server, who also took it in his hand, and politely asked if she could have another. He was very nice and said he’d get her a new one. We were seated at the last booth before the bathrooms right next to the kitchen entrance. Upon his entrance into the kitchen we heard the staff joking that the roll felt like a “hockey puck” and another employee yelled to “throw it in the microwave”. About 45 seconds later he returned with a roll on a plate that was burning hot, softer and greasy on the bottom of the roll. I joked to him saying “haha did you throw that hockey puck in the microwave?” He simply replied “oh yea I don’t know what happened”. I can only assume that after touching it with his own hands he threw it in the microwave and proceeded to hand her a greasy stale burning hot roll. This is not the first time I have had an unpleasant experience here. About a month ago I was there and stood at the host stand for 5 minutes while about 4-5 servers huddled around a box of Girl Scout cookies picking out their selections. Read moreI have not been at this location in a long time. They constantly send emails for 10% off and you also get a free coupon for your birthday and I thought I would try it out. A few days before my birthday. Horrible customer service by the teenagers that work there. I did not want to sit in a certain section because the lights were too bright and I asked for a booth and they told me it was closed. When three of the four of the booths were open. I've worked in restaurants for many years and it's very simple to just inform a waiter that they need to pick up a table in another section. I'm the customer I should sit where I feel most comfortable. So I said I'll come back another time and then I asked for a manager. I got a horrible attitude from this Hostess slamming the table settings down and when the waitress came over she leaned against the booth making a big frown. Like she was sooooo disapointed in me, wahh wahh. I felt like I was in the middle of Bartleby the Scrivener where the staff just preferred not to do their job today. I finally spoke to a manager and he was very understanding and genuinely assured me and asked me to please stay but I could not because I was so aggravated and did not trust that anything will happen to my food between the kitchen...
