“A New Gem Under Fresh Management!”
I’ve been a customer of Genesis for years, and while it’s always had potential, it felt like it was falling short—until now. Recently, the bakery came under new management, and the transformation is nothing short of amazing!
The first thing I noticed was the improved quality and freshness of the products. The pastries are flakier, the bread is perfectly crusty, and the cakes have a richness and depth that was missing before. It’s clear that the new team is committed to quality, and they seem to have raised the bar on every item in the store.
Not only has the food improved, but the location itself looks fantastic. The new management has clearly invested in giving the bakery a fresh, welcoming vibe. The interior is brighter, cleaner, and better organized, making it a much more inviting space to enjoy a coffee and pastry.
Customer service has also taken a huge step up. It’s a warm, welcoming environment now.
If you haven’t been to Genesis lately, give it another shot—you’ll be blown away by how much it has changed for the better. It’s no exaggeration to say that it feels like a completely new bakery, with all the charm of the original location but a...
Read moreI had to change my review due to new owners. I don't know how they thinks 2 tostadas and 2 cafe con Leches should be $14 but it's ridiculous. My old review was due to being able to get the cafe con Leche with tostada for $3.50. My whole family could have that and a box of croquetas and pastelitos for around $18. To pay $14 for 2 coffee and 2 bread and butters is absolutely insane. Mind you, you can get a whole pizza for $5 at 2 spots. To The new owners, these prices are going to bleed you dry, you need to get realistic pricing, this isn't Puerto Rico....this is Homestead. Fix your prices or call the old owners, they had it right.
Old review: Not the best but consistently reliable. Always open and the pastries are good. Overall a really nice affordable spot, just....avoid the food on the right after 10 or 11 am because I think it sits there all day...besides that, it's...
Read moreAfter living down here for a year i finally found a bakery that satisfies my cravings. This bakery i found real close to my house and i cant believe i never seen it. I would say the shopping center it is located in isn't very popular so i never really looked at it whenever i drove by.
I had their bakery goods : 2× tequeño de queso, 4× tequeño de queso y guayaba, 4× ham croquettas, 1× arepa con queso on sweet corn and a soda bottle. All for a great normal price for $15. I been to other bakeries and they price gouge the hell outta ya.
Today i had their pan con bistec and my wife and i fell in love. Yea its a steak sandwhich but i am a sandwhich kind of guy and value a good tasting satisfying sandwhich. Everything there is affordable nothing too pricey. I love the fact its Colombian bakery food because its is now comfort food for me since...
