Herradura & Donas. — Restaurant in Homewood

I walked into the store and the first thing I noticed was the only employee sitting down behind the register on his phone. There was a VERY limited selection of donuts and after asking for coffee, I watched the employee pour the very last drops out of the pot into my cup. There was only enough to fill it 1/3 of the way. Instead of offering to make more, he didn't tell me until walking out the door that he didn't charge me for the coffee because it wasn't full. Some of the tables weren't cleaned off and there were expired coupons/advertisements on the counter. I hope management sees this because I LOVED the donuts, the store experience was very subpar compared to the rest of the stores in Homewood. There is so much potential for this shop, simply seems like a lack of mindfulness...

Traveling with a friend and needed coffee, found out I also needed tacos and donuts.

Excellent Carmel macchiato Tacos were the surprise at the coffee shop I didn't realize I needed. Donut was one of the best I've ever had. Closely comparable to Biagios in willowick Ohio (give it a search if you're feeling it. cult following) The Oreo donut had a genuinely Oreo filling like glaze. Crazy delicious. Forgot to take a picture of it, but trust me, worth it.

One note, the salsas are delicious, but actually have a decent kick. If you like spicy you'll probably not notice, if you dislike spicy just don't add the salsa...

This low key mom and pop spot has my favorite donuts, and my favorite breakfast burrito. The prices are really incredible as is the quality. If you haven't been, you should go asap. This is one of Birminghams hidden gems, that everyone should at least try. I am glad that I don't live closer because I could see myself eating here everyday they're open. I cannot express enough, this is hands down some of the best food I have had recently. I am pumped to try their wings, if they are as good as everything else I might just have to move in! Do yourself a favor and go see...
