We came south to Birmingham for a birthday trip at the end of March for me to see the cherry blossom festival at the botanical gardens. That wound up being a total bust (wayyyy too crowded to even park anywhere close), but we were fortunate to stop for lunch here! I'd had this place bookmarked for a long time and I'm glad I got to try it out. There's a small patio out front, a few tables and chairs on the first level, and it looked like some more seating upstairs. It's an order at the counter type of joint and sides are ordered separately from the burgers themselves. You'd be hard-pressed to make it out for less than $15 a head if you're expecting a side with your sandwich, but that being said, everything is obviously very high quality, freshly made, and delicious. The decor is fun and evocative of a sort of divey atmosphere, although the space itself is perfectly tidy. Honestly, the service is probably the one major thing that kept this from being a 5-star. The two ladies working the register were very disinterested in being friendly or helpful. The menu written on the wall is a little hard to read, and despite my parents obviously struggling to see it, we had to figure out for ourselves that there were paper menus on the counter by the register. No have a nice days, thank yous, or what would you likes, either, just a dutiful if sour rendering of our orders into the register and a wordless exchange of credit cards. They didn't say anything outright ugly and they did the job they're paid to do, but a little pleasantness really does go a long way. On the bright side, the kitchen was clearly working efficiently because our freshly cooked food was out in a matter of minutes. On to the food -- it rocked! I thought two patties would be too much for me, and I was suuuuper full at the end, but they were smashed nicely and therefore it wasn't an immense challenge to eat them. I had the queso blanco burger and it was delicious. Gooey queso, crisp jalapeƱos, creamy aioli, and savory, umami beef that surprisingly didn't melt the soft, lightly toasted buns into a soggy mess. My only *minor* wish was for a slightly spicier entree -- it was barely spicy at all, and I'd have been happier with a little more kick. That being said, easy 4.5/5 meal and I would be more than happy to devour it again. My sweet potato waffle fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, a nice balance of sweet and salty, and the serving was generous. Can't remember which burger my husband got but he loved it. WF's take on regular fries is also delicious and also comes with a generous portion. I thiiiiiink my parents split a patty melt and fries. Whatever the case, all four of us were beyond happy with our food. All in all, fantastic tasting burger joint in a comfortable environment with fairly easy parking, convenient to lots of fun stuff to see and do in Birmingham. If you're looking for a good burger stop in town, look no further! I would happily come back.

Whiskey Foxtrot is one of our favorite burger joints in Birmingham! We love them for both their more classic smashburgers and their more inventive offerings. Only just learned of the Homewood location, and it loved up to our expectations. Went for lunch on a Saturday and it was fairly busy, getting more crowded towards 12:30. Staff was friendly and helpful. There's seating on two levels, and a couple tables out front, too. Ordered two Fat Elvises and a basket of fries. The burgers were great quality, not too thin or thick, and just the right amount of bun. Fried are real shoestring and crispy (available both as am individual side and a basket). Will be coming back to keep trying what we haven't had yet!

Me and my coworker love the food so much we order from here multiple times a week but had a bad experience tonight when placing my to go order I explained my coworker was going to pick up my order and is about to call in and place one as well and the lady was nice and said great I will answer the phone and be waiting for his order and put the orders together but when my coworker called 30 seconds later a man picked up the phone and very rudely said they aren’t taking to go orders the rest of the night and hung up so I had to call back and ask for the lady that just took my order and ask what’s going on and she tells me they can’t take to go orders anymore after literally just telling me she would be expecting his call and put our orders together and I explained to her the situation again and then get told I’m being rude. We spend a lot of money at this place regularly and then I have this experience. Probably won’t be going back for a while after this. Customer service is everything. U can have a good product but if u treat people with disrespect like this u will lose a lot...

The atmosphere and service was great here, but the food was not so great. I got the foxtrot, the second burger on the menu, the onions on my burger were grilled not caramelized there's a difference. If you're going to advertise as caramelized onions, you should make them caramelized. The meat on the burgers were not seasoned at all, I had to put a LOT of black pepper on mine so it didn't taste like unseasoned meat and grease. There was so much grease on the burgers, it made them hard to stomach. My partners Texan sandwich was grease soaked toast, with an unseasoned pattie, and hardly any chipotle sauce the sandwich is suppose to come with. My tater tots were cooked to perfection I have to say. But for $40 for two people to eat and have a drink, this was very unsatisfactory. We definitely don't have any interest in returning unfortunately. We try something new every time we come to Birmingham, and this was a huge let down for our first,...
