I ordered a large mashed potatoes and gravy, whenever I received the order I looked at the container of gravy, it was about an 8 oz container and was only filled up about 1/5 of its capacity. I had observed the counterperson filling the container and they pulled the stainless steel bin out of its slot and poured out what appeared to be what was left in that near empty serving container. I asked about how empty the container I was given was and I was told that they're not supposed to fill it up. This is a bulk order of mashed potatoes how in the world is a group of people supposed to share about 1 oz of gravy each. The counter person told me that that container should serve three people. I wonder what have happened if I had asked to purchase another order of gravy after she poured the last of it out. This is a huge disappointment.
This location only has two actual parking spaces in it for patrons, there are three other parking areas for takeout and handicapped but every time I come here I observe employees entering and exiting vehicles occupying those spaces It does not surprise me why they have such a small number of parking spaces, it is clear that they do not expect a loyal following here. This is a very very high-end neighborhood with a lot of specially restaurants I'm sure the clientele goes there to get their mashed potatoes and gravy and there's no doubt they do not skimp on it.
A number of times I have visited here in the past and there were individuals seated at chairs that are placed outside the establishment, the individuals are wearing Jacks employee shirts and upon trying to enter the establishment these individuals ask for money, they are clearly homeless people I don't know if they are former employees, current employees or they were just given shirts so they do not appear to be loitering but this is not appropriate for a fast food restaurant.
12/7/23 I came to this restaurant tonight to get my usual order and it took me 25 minutes from the moment I walked in to the moment I received the order, during this time there were only two people that were already there when I got there and they got their order in about 2 minutes and left. When I received my order just like the last time I was here it was missing items despite the receipt being accurate. I walked up to the counter because I had never heard from anyone and I said "is this my order"? and a girl said yes and I said why did you not call me and she said because I did not know your name. When I looked in the bags and noticed that items were missing I mentioned it to her and she walked over to the fry bin and got the fries that were missing. The bag ripped while she was not paying attention putting the fries in the bag and the fries were dumped into the bag. A larger female employee saw this and whispered something to her and then she went and got a plastic bag and put everything in there ripped bag and all. When I made mention of this to her she said "Well I put it in a bag". This has got to be the poorest example of running a restaurant that I have ever seen in my life. I worked for a worldwide food equipment company when I was in my twenties so I feel like I'm pretty qualified to make a statement like this. During this exchange I had mentioned the name of the fellow that founded this restaurant and she did not even know who he was. Thank God he was not standing there I'm sure things would be...

Walked in, and no one was in line. It was not a dinner rush time, though the place looked pretty fully staffed. My family and I had never eaten at Jack's before, so we were taking a minute to study the menu. I offered a woman who came in after us to go on ahead. She ordered what seemed to be a couple of kids' meals and a meal for herself. The man (the manager, I believe) was polite, but she had to repeat various parts of a pretty simple order over and over again while he punched it into the machine. After she finished, we took a step forward. And waited... watched the manager and staff scramble around rather without any efficiency or direction. They were filling drive through orders, but slowly. Eventually, they seemed to be working on the woman ahead of us' order. They also began working on a door dash order. The whole time, we are standing at the counter, unacknowledged, and waiting to place an order. Eventually we realized (using a text that was sent when we had arrived in the parking lot as a time stamp) that we had stood there at register waiting to be acknowledged or place an order for over 20 minutes, going on 30. The woman ahead of us was still waiting for her food. The door dash driver was waiting for half her order.... We decided to leave at that point. It seemed to me that the manager (a tall man) seemed nice enough, but was way in over his head and maybe hadn't been in that position long or hadn't been trained. The rest of the staff either seemed to be frantic and untrained, desperate and failing to get tasks done with not rhyme or reason to the order of how things should be handled, or the others seemed tired, unbothered and unphased, just slowly doing a single task and not worried about anything else going on. It was definitely the most bizarre experience I've had in a "Fast" food restaurant ever (even taking account of the fact that I've been in many understaffed establishments that were clearly running at a...
Read moreTried this place twice in a week because the first experience was dismal. The first experience we got about half the food we ordered. The rest of the order was sort of right. The second trip around was worse. We sat at the drive thru for about 5 minutes before anyone greeted us. My son wanted a chicken finger meal. The person behind the mic told us they were out of chicken fingers. We ordered a chicken sandwich for each person in the car. With just three cars in the drive thru, we waited like what seemed like the expanse of time to grow a beard long enough to step on. We got our chicken sandwiches. We were missing my son's order of fries. I parked the car to go get the missing fries... Making sure not to step on the beard I'd just grown. As I approached the counter, I saw them pouring up chicken fingers. They were not out after all. I waited another five minutes (now not exaggerating) before the woman behind the counter asked if she could help me. I explained the fries had been left out. I didn't bother asking why were we told they were out of chicken fingers and just returned to my car.
As we drove home and discussed the hilariously bad service, I noticed the chicken sandwich I was eating didn't feel quite right. Sorta spongy and cold. Y'all, it wasn't fully cooked. The rest of the family checked theirs. Same thing, mostly cooked but there was a spot in the middle that just wasn't cooked.
This was the first Jack's in existence, I'm told. I would have thought they were the flagship store. Sadly, no. I will not be going back, back, back to that Jacks if it kills me... because...
