yoe Xpress — Restaurant in Homewood

Don’t focus on the 2 stars for atmosphere, unless you’d rather pay for ambience than for good food. The thing that first hooked me on Yoe Express was their coconut soup. Even on that visit I noticed the good price for their lunch specials (which appear to be available at other times as well). So on my next visit I decided to try the black pepper chicken. It was really good, AND the portions of the chicken and the fried rice were large enough that I ate half and took the rest home for dinner. I’ll be back again and again to try the other dishes. Back to the prices - with meal prices going up and up at other restaurants I go to, it’s nice to see Yoe not following suit. You can still get a generous meal of good food for a reasonable price. If you live in Homewood, you owe it to yourself, and to the good folks at Yoe Express, to support this establishment. My coworkers and myself ordered from this restaurant on 04/22/24 and paid for our entrees and egg rolls and the egg rolls were no where to be found in the bag. My container had holes in it, and how did I know it had holes in it because when I poured the sweet and sour sauce over the hot chicken the container started to leak, SMDH. We had a fantastic experience at Yoe Xpress! The sweet and sour chicken was a hit with our kids, and the Mongolian chicken was perfect for the adults—flavorful and cooked just right.
