Firehouse Subs Lecanto Plaza — Restaurant in Homosassa Springs

I ordered 2 combos, one with Mac & cheese, and the other with fries. I drove back to my job just to find out there were no fries in the bag (my fault for not checking before I left). I drove back to the store and informed them that the fries were not in the bag. The girl that initially served me proceeded to remind me that only 1 of the combos I ordered was with fries, like I'm stupid. I told her that is correct, however there were no fries in the bag. When I got to the window, another girl came up and said that several people checked my order and it was correct. I explained that I wouldn't have driven all the way back to my job, then all the way back to the store just to get free fries. She just smirked and closed the window. It probably cost me more in gas than it would have to purchase an extra order of fries if I wanted it that bad. They gave me the order of fries, but it had about 8 fries in the box. RIDICULOUS! I rarely write reviews and, when I do, they're usually good, but this needed to be said. I don't appreciate them implying that I was trying to get something for free. I stopped by yesterday for the first time and unfortunately they were experiencing roof leaks. They had buckets everywhere and half of the tables had water dripping from the ceiling. This location is way too small in my opinion. The line of guests inside was long with little room to move and seating was full during lunch.

Moving on to my lunch, I ordered a small meatball sub with a cup of potato soup with a drink. My sub was very tasty and well put together. I barely ate the soup because it had no substance. It was watery at best with a few potatoes. I tried to use the oyster crackers to thicken it up but that was a failed attempt so I tossed it. Stick to the subs they are definitely better than...

I placed a pickup order at Firehouse Subs for a cheese steak hoagie, a meatball hoagie and fries. Everything was delicious! The order was ready on time, neatly packed, and still hot when I got home. I am 20 mins from FH Subs and nothing was soggy, everything was perfect! The cheese steak hoagie was loaded with tender meat, melted cheese, and plenty of flavor. The meatball hoagie was amazing, meatballs tasted like they were homemade and just the right amount of sauce. The fries were crisp and seasoned well, a great side to the sandwiches.
