: A Delightful Breakfast Experience at Laurel's Hometown Cafe in Honesdale, PA Rating: (5/5) I recently had the pleasure of dining at Laurel's Hometown Cafe in Honesdale, PA, and I must say that it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. The breakfast omelettes they serve, combined with their impeccable service, made it a memorable morning that I won't soon forget. First and foremost, let's talk about the omelettes. Laurel's Hometown Cafe truly knows how to make the perfect omelette. The menu offered a variety of tempting options, each bursting with flavorful ingredients. From classic combinations to unique and creative twists, there was something to suit every taste. What impressed me the most was the freshness and quality of the ingredients. The omelette was cooked to perfection, with fluffy eggs and a generous filling that was expertly folded inside. Every bite was a delightful explosion of flavors, and it left me wanting more. The service at Laurel's Hometown Cafe was equally exceptional. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and friendly faces. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about providing an outstanding dining experience. They took the time to ensure that all my preferences were met and offered excellent recommendations when I couldn't decide on which omelette to try. The service was prompt, and my food arrived at the table in a timely manner, freshly prepared and beautifully presented. The cozy and inviting atmosphere of the cafe added to the overall charm of the experience. It felt like stepping into a welcoming community hub where locals and visitors alike gather to enjoy a delicious meal. The decor was tasteful, creating a relaxed ambiance that made me feel right at home. Whether you're looking for a quiet breakfast alone or a lively brunch with friends, Laurel's Hometown Cafe provides the perfect setting for any occasion. Lastly, I must mention the value for money. The prices at Laurel's Hometown Cafe are very reasonable, especially considering the quality and portion sizes. You can tell that they take pride in offering their customers a great dining experience without breaking the bank. It's refreshing to find a place that not only serves delicious food but also provides excellent value for the price. In conclusion, if you find yourself in Honesdale, PA, I highly recommend paying a visit to Laurel's Hometown Cafe for a breakfast experience that will leave you smiling. The mouthwatering omelettes, exceptional service, and inviting atmosphere make it a true gem in the heart of the town. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu.

Visited the place on October 12th. A bit busy, harvest day, a bit hard to find a parking spot. So far, so good. We enter to Laurel’s because of the reviews on google. - Seating was easy and quick. Not a welcoming atmosphere. - It took like 15 minutes to have first contact with the waitress. - After 35 minutes waiting, food finally came out. * Eggs were fine. * Hash browns had no flavor at all. * French toast flavorless as well. * Pancakes: half of one was very good. The other one and a half were totally burnt. * Coffee was fine. I asked the waitress for more coffee, she nodded, left and forgot about it. Another waitress was kind and gave us a bit more coffee. Not visiting again.

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. This was my family's first time here, we got our food for take out and ordered 2 kids pizzas, an apple juice and mozzarella sticks. From the menu, it says that kids meals come with french fries or applesauce and a drink. Ours came with no fries and the waitress said only the cheeseburger and quesadilla came with it. They should specify that on the menu. Our order ended up coming to 25 dollars for two tiny frozen pizzas and 4 mozzarella sticks that ended up hurting my stomach. I was so shocked and displeased with absolutely everything and dont ever plan on spending a dime here again.

PSA: Boneless wings are just cut up chicken tender with hot sauce drenched on it ( for 10$) advertised differently on their menu, when an original Plate of chicken tenders is 5-7$, it was disappointing we ordered mozzarella sticks as well and they came out still frozen on the inside and we asked to just take it off and then the BONELESS WINGS as well since it was not disclosed that they were CUT UP CHICKEN TENDERS. The owner refused to take it off and tried to shoo us away and threatened to call the cops on us if we didn’t pay the wings. I said go head I want them to come because it is FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!!! The menu said boneless wings for 10.00 and all they did was cut up chicken tenders (chicken tenders that were 5-7$ on the menu) and Drench it in hot sauce. A nice lady who worked there finally came out and took it off and we paid right away. Very much appreciate her for UNDERSTANDING THE SITUATION. Owner likes to state I was rude, when I never was rude to anybody, our party was split into two tables divided by another table so I can’t speak for the other side but I know my table was NOT rude, I spoke to the waiter nicely, and she started to give me attitude towards the end because of the wings. It was not until the end when I refused to pay for cut up chicken tenders that we DID NOT touch. Owner refused to talk to us and told us we should find elsewhere to go so I was looking for an ATM so that I could pull money to pay FOR WHAT WE ATE! The mozzarella sticks were still frozen and the wings were not even wings, then the girl came out took it off and I paid with the card right away. I’m sorry but you cannot Rob people of money with false...

While attending a wedding in Honesdale, PA at the scenic and lovely Venue at Carley Brook, we were hungry after a long travel day and late arrival at Cherry Ridge Campground just outside of town in picturesque Wayne County Dairy Farm countryside. If you're hungry, Laurel's will fill the chasm. We were greeted warmly by Christina, the "bringer of joy" in this story. Everything she brought out brought joy to the palate, starting with the steaming hot coffee. Pancakes were indescribably good. "The Slam" was a popular choice, eggs, meats, choice of potato perfectly browned, AND pancakes. Portion size is LARGE, and I ordered a side of homemade corned beef hash that Christina said was so good you want to punch somebody in the face. One forkfull and I understood completely. My companion and others are all safe. Portions were so big we had enough to enjoy Laurel's again at the campground! What a treasure this place is. We even got to meet Laurel herself, through the window into the kitchen, and apparently the "maker of joy" to her partner's "bringer". Whether eating in or dashing to go, if you are within 2 hours of Honesdale, it's worth driving just to have a meal there. If you're in the area, you probably already know what I now know...this is in the top 3 breakfast joints in the continental US, 3 areas of Mexico, and a chunk of Canada. Trust me on this. And Thanks to Christina and Laurel...
