BIC Tacos — Restaurant in Honolulu

Absolutely love BIC Tacos! I have had the pleasure of eating almost every item on the menu and I can definitely say - this is the most AWESOME Mexican restaurant and gathering place to get your money’s worth! Large burrito , plenty of meat, perfect size of vegetables, loaded with cheese, offers all different kinds of fillings on your burrito, lettuce pick, corn, cheese, their mild sauce and BBQ sauce is Out of this world!! I’m a spicy kind of girl and I love it when the chile tingles my lips when i eat it.

I had the pleasure of getting to know the owner of the restaurant Michael, passionate at what he does and his fiancé Nyra has been very supportive. Great people who know a lot about excellent service . The area is clean, restrooms are superb. My favorite menu item would have to be the breakfast burrito. It’s served all day (yassss) and the burrito is huge!! I would have showed you pictures but I was too hungry - sorry. I have eaten at this place between 2-3 times a week with something different each time. Oh yeah! It’s that great!

My burritos whether breakfast or lunch burritos have always stayed together in terms of within the tortilla without falling apart. If your burrito is falling apart while you’re eating then you don’t know how to eat a burrito. Their chips and queso are also so fresh. My left over nachos with the dip was so large I had to pack it and take home with me and reheat them in the oven. I could almost say that this place is my “go to lunch place” it’s about four blocks from my work place and it’s so worth it. The walk compensates it and I get a head start with digestion.

BICs is Locates on the beautiful side and heart of Chinatown so don’t worry about the homeless walking around or the strong odor of smelling like urine. If you have not eaten at BICs yet- you’re missing out! Give them a try! It took me one bite of my loaded carne chicken burrito and I was in love. I Highly recommend this place. Went on 2 April because I was in the downtown area to meet with Fiance at her office. I asked if she wanted anything to eat on my way back and she said no. Went to the post office and on the way back I stopped by Big Tacos. I'm so glad I did. I ordered the 3 taco special that came with a free taco for their Free Taco Friday. I had the pork loin and chose the hot habanero sauce. Sat down outside at a nearby table and was impressed. Very flavorful and the hot habanero was hot enough to give me the tingles and hiccups, but not so hot to burn my mouth. Maybe next time I'll try the hotter hot sauce. Anyway, called the fiance and told her about how good they were and she agrees to try. Went back and ordered another 3 taco special with chicken and mild sauce. Recently I was visiting Honolulu on a business trip and I was missing good Mexican food from my hometown in San Diego. A friend suggested BIC Taco as the place to go. I was pleasantly surprised! Clean, friendly service from Michael the chef and Rosalia behind the counter and most importantly a great tasting breakfast burrito! It is amazing all the choices you get to load your burrito with.
