Decided to try something different for lunch, so I ordered the Reuben sandwich. A few minutes after ordering, my sandwich was ready and came in a "old school" brown paper bag. The bag felt a bit light, so I was a bit "concerned" that I might be hungry after eating the sandwich. When I finally sat down to eat and unwrapped the sandwich, my "concern" seemed even more legit as the sandwich was not very thick. Although the sandwich wasn't very thick, the proportion of meat, bread and sauerkraut seemed just right. Biting into the sandwich, you can taste the flavors of all the ingredients, with none being too over powering, not too salty, not too sour, but just right! The food here was really good and flavorful. I got a turkey club panini and my wife got the Chicago sandwich as well as a sunset smoothie. There isn’t a whole lot of customization you can do with the sandwiches. My wife wanted her sandwich on a sub style bread which they said they just couldn’t do for some reason. I asked for no mushrooms on my sandwich which they said they could do but I found mushrooms in it anyways. The smoothie we got for almost 8 dollars was good but barely bigger than a can of soda. Wonderful quick order sandwich shop with bottled juices and teas. I used to live 1 block away and would go in pretty regularly for the veggie powerhouse. This sandwich is delicious! Sliced veggies and cheese, on toasted bread, with a honey mustard sauce that is sooo good! Occasionally, I would ask to add a fried egg for protein and the owner was happy to accommodate. Since I moved further away, I haven't been able to visit as frequently but consider it a special treat when I do. I'm so happy this place made it through the pandemic!
