Da Best Pho Vietnamese Noodle House & BBQ — Restaurant in Honolulu

ABSOLUTELY fell in love with this place!! If you are in Honolulu, you MUST visit this place at least once!

Usually when you order multiple items at a new place, only 1 (or 2…if you are lucky) turns out to be good. But to our surprise, every 4 items we ordered were super delicious!

We ordered the Beef Stew with White Rice (#23), Oxtail Soup with Rice Noodle (#24), House Special Fried Rice (#95), Rice with BBQ Chicken Plate (#35) & 2 Freshly Pressed Sugar-Cane drinks (#128).

Every single item was very tasty, you can tell that each one of them was made with love and care. I was especially surprised with the BBQ chicken dish…usually the chicken gets dry and turns out not much flavorful. But this one was juicy and the seasoning was just right! I ended up ToGoing 2 more of this dish for next day.

The Freshly Pressed Sugar-Cane drink is to die for!! On a hot summer day this drink is heavenly ^_^ It’s made with slight hint of lime juice that adds a nice aroma to it.

The interior of the restaurant is cute, they has all these quotes on the wall about family that I found cute. The restaurant is very clean, they promptly clean and sanitize the tables between customers. They still had the partitions up between the tables when we visited them in April ‘22.

Been seeing this new place for a while and finally gave it chance. It's located in the Market City Shopping Center, so parking can be a challenge at peak times as well as you have to look out for bad drivers in the parking lot as it is a really bad design.

So, they have the typical large Vietnamese restaurant menu that offers just about all the classics. However, I couldn't really find anything that was uniquely different from other places or a list of house specials to help make this place stand out. One thing that was different was they offered lunch special sets, which I haven't seen at other places, that were great combinations for someone eating solo who didn't want to share. You can get a half order summer roll with medium pho, half order spring roll with medium pho, or a half sandwich with medium pho.

I wanted something spicy, so I went with the Spicy Beef Noodle Pho. It was different was a bit different then ones I had had before. It was slightly sweet, more of a gentle broth, and loaded different beef assortments that were very generous. It was very good and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

The place has comfortable décor that makes for a comfortable dinning experience. It is well kept and very clean. The service was very friendly and supper fast.

I have never responded to someone’s else review but today I make a lifestyle change. How rude and uncouth. I have been tastefully estatic about the culinary treats that come out of this establishment.

My first issue is I have never ever felt anything but, welcomed when I entered this restaurant. Even when they were filled due to Covid restrictions, I have always been warmly greeted. Second, why wouldn’t you address your food issues with the waitress? Seems to me that looking at your other reviews you have a history of not being happy wherever you eat. Curious, I would say 🤔 I live not far from this location and tend to visit often. When I was sick the beef pho was absolutely perfect. It was not to salty, and the broth is loaded with flavor. One of my favorite soups is the fish soup with elephant ear shoots. A nice portion with huge chunks to feed four. The chicken wings hands down are some of my favorites on the island. A sweet and salty taste with a distinct Asian flair. I return time after time because of the extensive menu items.
