This is a local famous breakfast spot that is a wonderful. It's very very busy, opens early and closes by 1pm in the afternoon. We were staying in Waikiki Beach close walking distance from our hotel, after the sticker shock of the adequate hotel breakfast, some locals recommended here. We had a Sunday breakfast of an omelet, pancakes and fried eggs and fried rice. The omelet was very light and fluffy with more than enough filling a side of rice and crispy bacon, the pancakes were also very light and fluffy with banana filling and whipped cream topping the fresh maple syrup, beautifully presented and just as good to eat. My order of Hawaiian fried rice with two fried sunnyside up eggs was an eye full and a wonderful mouthful, quite savory and delicious. The rice seemed made to order, was very well flavored and a heaping portion crowned by two smiling happy sunnyside up eggs made just the way I love them. The coffee was fresh and delicious, u can get a free to go cup if u ask nicely!! Service was very friendly and attentive with the food presented quickly and hot out the kitchen. There was no air conditioning but during our visit that didn't pose any issue or obstacle. If in town I would definitely come back. I understand they have more than one location so this goodness is spread thru out the city. They were also a great value for the money which also reinforces why they're so popular. Come on in the griddle's warm and the coffee fresh, Enjoy!!!

We didn't realise that this was a franchise when dining here. We went for breakfast because the McDonald's next door wasn't open (too early). We're Australian, so some of our "gripes" will not see like issues to Americans. The place is reasonably clean and well serviced. The menu has a bit of variety to it too. I had the Pancake sampler which came with three (they seemed too large to be samples but who is complaining about that?). Strawberry, banana and blueberry pancakes topped with a ridiculous amount of cream. There was no maple syrup supplied so I needed the cream to keep the pancakes moist. The pancakes were very flavoursome and perfectly cooked. I also had a fruit smoothie which tasted incredible. My wife ordered tea, which wasn't on the menu and a bacon sandwich, which also wasn't on the menu. Kudos to the staff who made these things happen. We had a bit of difficulty explaining the concept of a sandwich (in America it seems to be a burger bun but in the rest of the world, it's bread or toast). The bacon was also American style (ie: with all the fat still attached). These are cultural differences rather than an issue with the restaurant. The meal was on par with what we were seeking but just slightly more expensive than I thought it should be. Service was very good.

*This review is based on the food that was ordered* 1. Waffles with strawberries 2. Specialty crepe of the day Fuji apple with cinnamon and sugar 3. Banana Nutella crepe 4. Side of Portuguese sasuage 5. Side of eggs 6. Iced coffee. Yelp waitlist, check in at the front. Wait time for 4 ppl at 700am was about 45 minutes. 1. Waffles were standard. Kids ate it just fine. The amount of strawberries as an add-on was slightly disappointing. 2. The specialty crepe, although a large amount, was not impressive. I was hoping for thinly sliced fuji apples, but the apples had a lot of water content. Maybe canned apples?? Not very sweet. Some of the apples were warm (inside the crepe), and the other on top was cold. The crepe itself was somewhat eggy in taste, and the texture of the crepe had more flour content, thus thicker than traditional crepe. I was only able to eat one. 3. The banana Nutella crepe had similar texture and too much Nutella, in my opinion. 4. The Porteguese sausage was standard, more salty, and didn't have as much flavor. However, good with eggs. 5. The side of the eggs was standard. Cooked with butter. 6. Iced coffee was strong. Depending on how you like it, I thought it was good. People are nice and friendly. The server was very nice. Would highly recommend sharing orders.

Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience here. I rarely give below a three-star rating , but sadly, my experience was that bad. I went here with my mom, the wait time was about 40 minutes, we waited almost 1 hour. When they finally called us up, the hostess asked us if we wanted to see the counter, we said we'd prefer not, she said the wait for a table will take another 20 minutes. We obviously did not wait want to wait any longer so we decided to take the counter. The counter seating is best described as depressing. The counter is facing a plain white wall, and you're sittng shoulder to shoulder with others. What frustrated me the most was that two tables opened up less than 2 minutes after we were sat dowb. that really bothered me the dishonesty of the hostess to gauge the table sittings. Especially after already waiting an hour. The food was okay, I ordered an acai bowl, probably one of the worst ones I've ever had, to be honest. And you can see from the photos my mom's food was very sad, she just order the egg breakfast. There's a lot of cute and adorable restaurants for breakfast neighboring this place. I highly recommend checking out one of those first! It definitely was not worth the wait. I would not go back.

I ordered the Crab Cakes Benedict with the Island Style fried rice from $3 more which is an upgrade from the standard rice that comes with it or pancakes. I also ordered a side of spam and pineapple. My wife ordered plain old fashioned bacon and eggs. My Crab Cakes Benedict were ordered with the egg soft, they came medium with little yolk inside. I love the yolk for eggs Benedict so that was a disappoinment. It was also served on top of hamburger buns and not an English muffin, another disappointment. The crab cakes were just ok. Not a whole lot of crab taste. Disappoinment. The island style fried rice was good which had pork mixed in and a sauce that I could not identify but tasty nonetheless. The pineapple on the side was the biggest disappointment. Not juicy, not sweet. They seemed like they were sitting in water and not fresh but they do give you a large serving in Spears. The spam was a serving of four slices. The bacon and eggs were simple so nothing really to speak about there. Just basic bacon and eggs with potatoes which my wife enjoyed. They do give you a rather large serving of food so that's a plus.

I'll tell you up front, you're going to have quite a wait before you get seated. Does that matter enough to dock this review a star? Absolutely not! There's a long wait for a reason. I DARE you to find better breakfast food and friendlier service anywhere on this island. I'm a very strict, very OCD vegetarian, and this place did NOT disappoint me. First of all, the vegetarian omelet was easily the best omelet I've ever had. Hands down. Additionally, the pineapple pancakes were out of this world. Funny enough, the pancakes were my side item, and they were arguably more filling than my main course (the omelet). Secondly, the server was very accommodating to my OCD vegetarian request. Any time I eat out, I request that the cooks change gloves and utensils prior to preparing my food (in order to avoid cross-contamination with meat). The server readily agreed to this, and I could tell he was taking very detailed notes pertaining to said request. Overall, this was an amazing experience. If my wife and I are blessed enough to return to Oahu again someday, we'll absolutely be eating here again.
