Avoid this place! - We had a terrible experience here due to the obnoxious and frankly aggressive demeanour of one of the elderly staff members.

Firstly, we felt rushed into making our order - we hadn’t been sitting for 20 seconds before a waiter was trying to take our order. He was pushy and rude.

Then, came our main issue. I tried to order an iced americano with oat milk. Many places don’t have non-dairy milk options so this wasn’t a major issue. However, the waiter seemed extremely frustrated at my order and seemed disgusted when informing me that they had no non-dairy milk. My boyfriend then tried to order an iced latte. The waiter sighed loudly, shook his head and rudely barked that they had no machine coffees. He then stormed off before we had the chance to order a coffee. We were both extremely surprised with the attitude of this man and felt very uncomfortable and decided to leave. I tried to inform another staff member of the rude service as we left and he wasn’t interested - he immediately tried to fill our table with the next customer. It was very disappointing that the disgusting attitude was not even acknowledged and possibly an indication of what is acceptable staff behaviour here.

I hope the staff member involved reads this and is ashamed of his attitude. Leave your own personal problems at home and don’t take it out on your customers. Rushing your customers and being rude won’t be good for business in the long run and you’ve certainly lost custom in the form of my boyfriend and I.

Horrible Service and Rude Manager Ruined My Morning, November 27, 2024! This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had as a customer. Staying at Aston Waikiki Circle, I decided to try the popular Egg’n’Things downstairs. I arrived at 7:03 am, with no line—just one couple and myself. The manager, Aaron, told us to sign into the waitlist, which I did immediately. Here’s where things went downhill. The couple who arrived with me got seated within a minute, but my name didn’t show up in the system. And again I re-entered TWO TIMES!! all my information—full name, phone number, agreeing to SMS notifications—yet my name still wasn’t appearing. I even took photos for proof. Even though I was the first person there, Aaron started seating other people who arrived after me. He blatantly ignored me and acted as if I wasn’t even there. I tried to explain the situation, but his attitude was shockingly rude and dismissive. It was humiliating to stand there while others were seated right in front of me, despite having arrived earlier. I understand that as a solo diner, I might be seated at the counter, but Aaron’s behavior was completely unprofessional. He didn’t care to help, didn’t apologize, and seemed to take pleasure in making me feel invisible. This man has no sense of hospitality and clearly has no business being in a customer-facing role. This is a local famous breakfast spot that is a wonderful. It's very very busy, opens early and closes by 1pm in the afternoon. We were staying in Waikiki Beach close walking distance from our hotel, after the sticker shock of the adequate hotel breakfast, some locals recommended here. We had a Sunday breakfast of an omelet, pancakes and fried eggs and fried rice. The omelet was very light and fluffy with more than enough filling a side of rice and crispy bacon, the pancakes were also very light and fluffy with banana filling and whipped cream topping the fresh maple syrup, beautifully presented and just as good to eat. My order of Hawaiian fried rice with two fried sunnyside up eggs was an eye full and a wonderful mouthful, quite savory and delicious. The rice seemed made to order, was very well flavored and a heaping portion crowned by two smiling happy sunnyside up eggs made just the way I love them. The coffee was fresh and delicious, u can get a free to go cup if u ask nicely!! Service was very friendly and attentive with the food presented quickly and hot out the kitchen. There was no air conditioning but during our visit that didn't pose any issue or obstacle. If in town I would definitely come back. I understand they have more than one location so this goodness is spread thru out the city. They were also a great value for the money which also reinforces why they're so popular.
