HI ONE SUSHI had a banner on the corner of Kapiolani Boulevard and Ward Avenue advertising half off rolls on Wednesdays so I brought the whole gang for a wonderful half off-roll Sushi and BYOB event! We arrived early and it was a short wait for our rolls even though we were a party of nine people. However, by the time we left there was a line out the door mostly for takeout orders. When I went to pay, a couple was coming in and they were told that it was an hour wait around 6:00 p.m. so try and go early or phone in your order before coming to the restaurant. There's a fair amount of free parking in the building, the entrance being from Kapiolani Boulevard. A huge attraction is that the restaurant is byob. We had an awesome time! Strongly recommend!

EDIT*PLEASE GIVE HI-ONE A TRY*: For such an Amazing restaurant to be passed by is heart breaking. And while they are not doing well with business, their quality and love never faltered. Their unconditional care in service and home style food is so much more than we can ask for! Small restaurant, with Extremely delightful food! I'm not too big on Sushi, but it is to live for here at Hi-One. The care and comfort that the owners give on the daily is just too good to be true. I dine-in weekly and am coming back, for a long time. PLEASE give them one try ✌️.

Stopped in here for the highest rated sushi around. I was happy that I did!! This place was great! We ordered 5 rolls and they were all really good. Rainbow roll, Hawaiian roll, Spider roll, spicy Tuna roll and Volcano roll. All were great. The service was very nice. She gave us miso soup and a desert for free. Super nice people. Highly recommend!

Please support your local businesses! This is a hidden gem and the food is delicious. The lady that waited on me was wonderful and informative. I had the Salmon Donburi (poke bowl) with the Miso soup (about 1/2 cup). For those of you who like the aesthetics of a meal, it was prepared in a delightful and beautiful manner. I felt bad that I had to eat the beautifully prepared dish. The soup was good and the Salmon donburi was salted to a perfection and the rest of the bowl (avocado, cabbage, greens)...
