I honestly debated on writing a review. One, because it makes me upset and emotional to relive the nightmare leading up to and on my wedding day. Two, because the company seems very argumentative and unprofessional in their replies back to negative reviews. But I just hope my review will save another bride from going through the same experience. This company ruined my wedding day. They agreed to one thing and then they over booked themselves and tried to go back on what they had originally told us and tried to get us to move locations as to be more accommodating to them. They told my mother in law on the phone ‘we have five other weddings on another beach so will just have to rush through yours‘. Their correspondence with me was rude, border line bullying, and they tried to use fear tactics to get us to switch locations. Originally they told us that we could walk up and down the beach and pick a spot that we liked, so we found a spot 50 yards down the beach that we wanted and when we asked them to do it there, they we’re very rude and unprofessional saying no. Even though that location 50 yards down the beach was on option to book on their website. When we told them, okay, we would go to the spot that we were ‘contracted’ to, they tried to tell us that another wedding was there and in their ‘3000 weddings they’ve done’ it would be problematic. We asked simple questions and got paragraphs back on why we needed to move our location, how our catering wasnt going to work etc. and when we still wanted the same spot they told us ‘you’ll have to live with the consequences of your choices’. Really boosted my confidence that this company was going to make my day special, lol. We ended up doing it on the original beach and lived with the ‘consequences’. There wasn’t another wedding anywhere near us and the location was fine? And we could have walked down the beach 50 yards where we originally wanted to be and there wouldn’t have been a problem. When we got there and tried to ask if we could walk down the beach where it was prettier, Reverend Waters yelled at my mother in law and told her ‘you do it right here or we’re not doing it’. When we asked if we could have a refund he laughed at us and said ‘of course not’. The ceremony itself was not anything like I had imagined it. They said that they’ve done 3000 weddings, and it definitely sounded like he’s done the same exact speech at all 3000, like he could do it in his sleep. It was monotone, not personal and rushed. The flowers we paid extra for were underwhelming and they tried to rush us through the pictures we had paid for because they had to get to another wedding. I felt relieved once they finally left. I went to bed crying the night before my wedding and the whole morning of while trying to deal with this company. Bottom line is that they were honestly really mean and unwilling to help me make my wedding day something that I could look back on and be happy with. I just wanted my wedding day to be happy and relaxed and it just makes me upset to...

This company is absolutely fantastic—professional, efficient, and truly outstanding! They exceeded all of our expectations in every way. The coordination was seamless, and they responded to inquiries almost instantaneously. We initially started working with a company called Weddings of Hawaii, but after a few months, we realized they didn’t offer the flexibility we needed. We found ourselves trying to fit our vision into their rigid plans, all while their services were significantly more expensive. At one point, it felt like they were more focused on their own needs than ours. Simple requests were met with resistance, and we felt like our vow renewal wasn’t going to reflect us. We even opted to forfeit our down payment and pay the 3.5% refund penalty just to walk away and stop working with Weddings of Hawaii. Even before they’d done anything for us, they were already asking for a gratuity pledge, listing all nine coordinators who were supposedly "assisting" us—an experience that left us frustrated and disillusioned.
Then we found Just Married Hawaii / Dream Hi Weddings / I Want to Marry You Wedding, and what a difference! From the start, they were incredibly accommodating and flexible. While they have a set package structure, they truly care about personalizing the experience. For example, we wanted our two daughters to play and sing a song on their ukuleles while the third danced the hula after our vows—a special moment for our family. The other company insisted this could only happen during the procession or recession. But Just Married Hawaii said, “It’s your day, and you can do whatever you want.” That kind of flexibility and understanding really stood out to us.
What we also loved about them was their transparency. Weddings of Hawaii had charged us hundreds for décor without mentioning that the location we chose didn’t allow certain items, like flower petal showers. Just Married Hawaii, on the other hand, informed us right away that the city had restrictions on decorations at our chosen site. Why didn’t the other company disclose this upfront, especially when they were so eager to charge us?
The quality of their services was top-notch. The florals were beautiful and much more affordable than what we had been quoted elsewhere. The limo service was punctual, and our officiant, Rev. Ellsworth Simeona, was both professional and warm. The videographer and photographer captured every moment perfectly, allowing us to relive the day in the most beautiful way.
In short, this company is absolutely phenomenal. If you're looking for a stress-free, personalized, and amazing wedding or vow renewal experience, look no further. Just Married Hawaii / Dream Hi Weddings / I Want to Marry You Wedding truly goes...
Read moreJune 4, 2021 Hall Wedding I Want To Marry You Weddings was nothing less than amazing! Very easy to work with, very reasonable, informational, thorough, and genuine. Their website is user friendly, and they are prompt with all communications. When I say our wedding was perfect without not one glitch it was PERFECT!
Getting married in Hawaii has many benefits from the meaningful culture, genuine positive energy, and the legal process (marriage License) was so simple and quick! By the time we returned home from Hawaii our marriage certificate was in the mailbox. I wouldn’t have wanted to get married in any other state, along side any other waters, and by any other officiant/planners. We received good energy and blessings full circle, and this is what a new marriage needs. I believe I Want To Marry You Weddings strives to not only provide good service and an enjoyable experience but also a energy and culture that truly caters to the covenant. Our officiant was beyond amazing this clearly isn’t just a job for him. He was very passionate, thorough, and loving. This is the type of energy you want covering your marriage.
Both the Hawaiian 🌺 tradition of the sand and lei ceremony was such a meaningful Hawaiian cultural practice that we appreciate!
I Want To Marry You Weddings - Vendors Highly recommend the Luau! Limo Service! Videographer and photographer possessed the same great energy! They were so engaged, kind, and genuine. We recommend adding video we received our videos a few days ago and it is so natural but yet professional. I couldn’t imagine not having this memory. We received well over 100 photos that were absolutely impeccable.
We appreciate our great experience, and the blessings over our marriage!
FYI A huge factor in choosing this wedding planner was their spiritual beliefs, and the fact that they do not just believe but they practice and stand on their beliefs. We value and appreciate that this organization doesn't just do this as a paycheck. They genuinely value the covenant of MAN and WOMAN! We did not want a minister covering our marriage that supports any other abnormal...
