My recent visit to Mio Pastalogy left me with mixed feelings. As a pasta lover, I was eager to try their "create your own" pasta dish and sample the full extent of their menu. While the concept of creating my own dish was appealing, the execution left much to be desired.
Unfortunately, the pasta dish was not up to my expectations. The toppings, including two dollops of pesto, were placed haphazardly on top of the noodles and failed to incorporate evenly, resulting in clumped noodles at the bottom of the bowl. The chicken was boiled and added to the dish as an additional clump, further detracting from the overall appearance and taste of the dish.
However, the bright spot of my visit was the bakery located on the other end of the restaurant. The fresh baked pastries and cakes were a treat and a highlight of my dining experience. I was pleased to find that the bakery offered an assortment of delectable treats to choose from, making it a saving grace in an otherwise disappointing meal.
In conclusion, while my experience at Mio Pastalogy was not entirely positive, I will not visiting again anytime for their pasta, but may...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you want handmade/homemade pasta, try this place. If you like your pasta al dente and so thick that it absorbs lots of water, try this place. Sauce portions for in-house dining are slim. Take out portions are much better I think. Not enough sauce to compensate for the large amount of noodles. There is a lack of seasoning amongst the dishes, also a lack of cheese. About half way through you may want to give up due to that. You pay per topping so make sure you choose wisely from the short menu. The already designed pasta dishes, AKA fan favorites, are the way to go. Already tried and true. The location is obscure with lots of parking. It is a shared space with two other businesses. Complimentary water cups available. Teas and sodas available for purchase. Staff are friendly. Bathrooms located inside...

Due to a miscommunication between my wife and I we ordered an extra pasta, and that was a good thing given the sizes. My 2 daughters (3yo and 6yo) typically would split a meal but they each had their own pasta and nearly polished it off (see picture below). The pomordoro sauce was more like a tomato cream sauce. The chicken was dark meat with skin on, not my preference. The shrimp pesto has 3 prawns. $1 for a small ramekin of grated Parmesan cheese (think of small container that comes with delivery pizza). The true question is, would we go back?...
