Zippy's Vineyard — Restaurant in Honolulu

Normally I like zippys... but this location... I had the most disappointing experience. 😞 I wanted to eat in the dining area and we were second in line. The auntie before us was on her phone asking where her friend stay because she was STILL in line for 20 minutes... observing how long the line was going outside the door and around the corner... alot of people began to leave the premises and go to the outside dining hall where there was faster service to pick up food and then go home. 🚶‍♀️ 🚶‍♂️ Observing for another 10 minutes... some workers were ringing up the transactions as they should, which was fine. Some other workers.... were walking back and forth, looking at us, looking at the line growing behind us, as they then proceeded to stand there for a minute or two, then clean the tables where no one was sitting at for the first 5 minutes that we were there... I don't know how zippys runs their business or how they manage their workers... but those tables should've been cleaned immediately if you had nothing else to do and sit the next guest as quickly as possible, especially if you see a growing line of people. I understand if you are busy, but I saw about two or three booths with no customers seated, but in place of that... a bunch of dishes that had yet to be tended to... normally... I'm okay... I never complain this badly...but if business at this specific location is going to continuously be as such... I don't think I'd come back to This location. Don't get me wrong... the place looks nice, it has a drive through, mobile order services, and a nice outside dining hall where we switched over to and were immediately taken care of and got our food, instead of deciding to wait in line for the dining area. (because we were not gonna wait 30 minutes just to be seated and then maybe wait longer just to get our order....) But... this place... I'm sorry... you have a pretty building, and a great parking lot! But that's all you've got going...

Where to start, after my doctor's app. I head over to Zippy's for my flaky! In a good mood took pictures of the surrounding area for at 1 time? These huge trees, we used to climb up with the limbs so wide you could run on it 🏃! Unsure why 🤔? I got the bread pudding and on my way to get home. Heading to the bus stop which is Not to comfortable for seniors! I noticed a man talking to himself in he's underwear? The came in time for Me, this stop is right there across from the Mililani mortuary on the corner. Look for the review. Us girls, sisters, cousins and our children listened about the bread pudding and the bus driver, with the compliment of their wives stories when we lived behind the hospital, before the freeway. That day I gave the driver my desert. Elderly sister who I have told about the area there was more interested in the fact I brought it, No flaky!? But, to hear that it went to a driver,it turned out to be a conversation that has lasted for a few days now. We baking, cooking, large pots of food, to old. Where we used to get it from,Nana she is at rest. So family members asked " so where "? Zippy's " how was it "? Ono., enough I said. I've changed my bus stop and it's right outside of the church going up to Nu'uanu. Before I went there I got the last bread pudding and gave it to the first lady driver on this route. Told her " there's a story about this" and I got off. I took a few photos of the surrounding area but it's a photo that I found to be my favorite. Turned to leave but I glanced back around although small I see the name... Zippy's. Somethings...

Tonight me and my family decided to dine in at Zippys Vineyard . I’m actually writing this review because of the food I was served. I ordered a Korean Chicken Breakfast Plate and when I saw my plate I had three tiny pieces of chicken. The rice was flat on the plate instead of scooped. There was so much green onions all over the plate. When I tasted the rice, it was wet and mushy. Usually I always love to dine in at Zippys Mililani because they have great service and hot, delicious food but I wasn’t expecting this.

I ordered grilled cornbread as well & It tasted like it was sitting out for a long time. It tasted very dry and cold. The thing is I love Zippys but overall the food did not taste hot and fresh and for the increase of pricing, I paid $15.00 for this plate and it only came with three tiny pieces of chicken and two pieces of bacon. The service was okay.

Especially for the increase of prices, I really just wanted my food to be hot and the portions decent for the price I’m paying. If I could give any feedback, please don’t serve your customers with cold food and I also advise anyone who dines in not to drink the water because it is extremely tap and a lemon wedge does not mask the tap flavor. I totally understand maybe the chefs working there wanted to go home but all my food was cold and the portions of food I got did not equal for the...
