Kung Fu Tea — Restaurant in Hoover

This is the best boba tea I’ve ever had. I’ve been to several Kung Fu Tea shops, in this past year, all around the U.S, but this specific one is my go-to. As a person who does not have any patience, the dedication to making the drinks quickly is definitely surprising. The other KFTs I’ve been to, they take around 7-10 minutes to make my drink. This one though, they only took about 3 minutes. Staff were super friendly and quick. I come here around twice a week, and every time I do, the drinks are always good. Nothing was off about them, and that’s what really got my hopes up for this store. The boba pearls (honey/regular AND Brown Sugar Wow) were all very soft and chewy, which I enjoy a lot. My favorite drink is the Rosehip Lemonade. I actually used to hate it, but ever since I came here, it is just perfection. I get it with 70% sweet and less ice with the regular honey boba. I do also love the fact that their store is very clean. Chairs are always pushed in, the couch was very comfy with the pillows tucked in, and the tables were spotless. Considering that the store was once a juice place, it would make sense that even if they mop the floors, there will be stains still stuck there, so I understand. It would be 5 stars if only they have consistency in their flavor. I’ve been twice and got the same thing both times (cocoa cream wow). The first time I got it was so good that my wife switched over from her beloved taro drink to order the same thing I got on our second visit. Unfortunately, the second time around was not as good (or sweet) as the first. Maybe it was because they were so busy during the grand opening but they had franchise trainers there. We’ll likely try to give it a third try to see if we end up liking it or not. We hope it will be like our first experience as it was probably the best boba we’ve had in Birmingham Alabama. I’ve always wanted a KFT to open near me and I’m so excited they’ve come to Birmingham! I used to drive to Atlanta or Huntsville to get it. This location is so clean and the service is fantastic. The drinks are made accurately and quickly. My favorite is the Taro Milk Green Tea with Nata (pineapple coconut) jelly and Honey Boba. I like it with 0% Sugar as the taro syrup is sweet enough to me, and I would recommend that to those who don’t like things too sweet.
