On my recent visit to Waffle House #1499 in Hope Mills, NC 28348, I was treated as if I was a liar by the manager Rhonda. I placed my order to go at 6:40pm 12.9.21. When I arrived home I was not quite hungry yet so I did not consume my meal at this time. It was about 9:00pm when I opened my bag to find out I was missing my blueberry waffle. I immediately called Waffle House and stated to the staff (where no one identified themselves) that I was missing my blueberry Waffle. I was handed over to the manager Rhonda. She informed me she would have to view security tapes to infact see if the Waffle was given to me. She took my name and phone number down and said she would call me back as soon as she viewed the footage. Thirty minutes went by with no mention of Waffle House calling me. I gave Waffle House a call back, to my surprise the staff told me she left for the evening. First and foremost, I am not a liar, and would not lie about a Waffle. Secondly, she is a General Manager, she should have the perfessionalism to give a customer a courtesy call back that had a complaint before leaving for the evening. Lastly, I am furious that I have been looked over like I am a nobody by Waffle House. My family and I come to this very Waffle House at least three or four times a month to the point I can tell you the name of the night time cook and when I do place my call to go order they know exactly who's order it's for. This is poor lack of communication on Waffle House's part as well as making me (the customer) feel as if I am a liar. The worst part is, when Rhonda isn't there, the staff had no clue how to handle a situation of when a customer's order is wrong. The lady at Waffle House, word for word said "We can't do anything about messed up orders when our Manager isn't here." I am disgusted out of my fifteen years coming to this Waffle House. When I called back today, she told me I received my waffle and I let her know I only had three orders. Three Texas cheese steak melts in one bag and two orders in another bag. There would be three plates in the bag if I received my waffle. She proceeded to hang up on me. It's not about the Waffle now, it's about Waffle House calling me a liar and disrespecting me. Read moreWe went to this Waffle House at 2:30 in the afternoon. I have had my share of bad experiences at restaurants, but this one takes the cake. First of all, our waitress walks up and immediately complains about the other table she's serving, saying they had a complicated order and complained when it was wrong, insisting they didn't say no onion. (Why she thought we cared, I don't know but at the very least it was unprofessional.) BOTH of the employees we saw had their masks on their chins, including our waitress. She was wobbling, and slurring and the alcohol on her breath could have gotten me drunk. There were five of us, but our order wasn't complicated. I wanted hashbrowns, eggs and cheese adding mushrooms, jalapenos, and gravy. My husband wanted two biscuits with bacon and hashbrowns with gravy. My friend ordered 2 egg special, my son got a pork chop and daughter ordered chicken cheese deluxe sandwich. After 10 minutes of her struggling to take our orders, she walks away and sits at the counter with some kind of alphabetical list and our order tickets. My husband went outside and as we were sitting waiting, the waitress looked at me and asked if he had ordered 2 biscuits and gravy or one.... I told her none of us ordered biscuits and gravy. She said, "oh it was the biscuit with.....sausage? or was it bacon..." I said I would go ask him. At this point we decided to leave (30 solid minutes later, having not even gotten our order put in or drinks served.) We went to The Fried Turkey Sandwich Shop and it was easily the best experience I've ever had. I'm leaving a review there too, but...
Read moreI barely write bad reviews but.... we went recently went here a few days ago. Since the new location has been built by south view I’ve heard rumors of this one going down the drain but I didn’t know it was this bad. We started to eat our food and from the jump the lady got our orders wrong, and the person I was with drinks were so watery she couldn’t drink it. We try to make the best of things so we just got the order fixed, and attempted to get a new drink. Although the food was not the same as it used to be we were making the best of it... until the person I was with looks down at the booth she is sitting in and a roach is crawling right beside her leg on the CHAIR. We both jump up and talk to our waitress which her only response was “okay, follow me to the front I’ll write you your checks” once the manager came out we told her we were not paying for food we didn’t eat but I did offer to pay for the persons grits, and eggs because that’s the only thing that had been eaten off our plates. The manager let us leave but the roach was still crawling around on our chair, and was making its way to the table, nobody killed it, and acted as if it was normal and as if we were wrong for making it a big deal... We were disgusted, and safe to say NEVER going back to a Waffle House. The service, the food and health just went down hill... I use to love this place as a kid I’m not sure what...
