So this used to be my favorite pizza place, but I cut them off. I ordered a half pepperoni, half pepperoni, olives, and onions. I picked up the pizza and unwisely didn't check it. There was no pepperoni on any of it. I called and spoke to the manager, who reluctantly agreed to give me a new pizza if I brought the old one back. But then she tells me I'll have to bring it back, then they'll make the correct pizza while I wait about 20 minutes. I told her this was unacceptable. I had hungry kids to feed, I was already having to waste my gas to return the pizza, and they weren't giving me any discount. She said oh well, she would not make a new pizza until I returned the old one. How stupid! They make pizza all the time and then people come pick it up and pay, what's the difference? Anyway, she finally agreed she'd have the pizza delivered to me so she could have her precious mistake pizza back and I wouldn't have to wait in the store while it was made, the delivery driver was nice and was there in about 30 minutes. Plus their pizza is pretty good, that's why they got 2 stars, although I usually love warmed up pizza and theirs is a gross greasy mess when reheated. But most of the stars were lost due to the managers nasty attitude, like I was trying to rip them off when all I was doing was trying to get them to fix THEIR mistake. I've probably spent at least 3 grand at Papa John's in the 3 years since I last ate here. I spend at least $30 a week on pizza, and at least Papa John's pizza is good reheated, plus it's cheaper. And the "rewards" at Rosa's never worked. Papa John's I get at least one free...
Read moreLet me just say that I LOVED the food... It was awesome! So I will say that's what all 3 stars are based on. I believe any business shouldn't only be a product or consumable... It should also be service. Which leads me to the complaint. We made plans w friends to eat here last night before going to see the Rick Thomas show at the Beacon. They arrived first and we got there almost 15 min later. When we sat down the waitress hadn't even acknowledge her new table of now 6 but was only 2 and an infant. Strike one. Then when she did come over she was slightly lazy about our order and offered no apology for her negligence. Strike 2. 15 min later (now 30 min... Show starts at 730 and it is right at 7) she comes with our drinks... Again no apology.. Or even an explanation.) I ask her if she heavily depended on tips and went on to explain my reasoning for asking that kind of question. I let her know her tardiness and lack of attention was unacceptable and asked for better attention. The only thing that improved was my husband's coffee refills. Everyone else at the table went without a refill until after our food arrived.... Strike 3 Fast forwarding We gobbled down what we could without choking... She didnt come check on us. Our daughters meals were to include dessert she didnt even offer to box one up bc we were already late for our event. We got our boxes paid our bill and left a very small but still undeserved tip.
Called the manager to speak about this and never even got a call back you would think the manager would want to find out what happened right?
Good food.......

Update (03/06/18) Rosa's is still the same great restaurant, and Anna continues to impress me. When my aunt and I were eating in after Sunday Mass, Anna checked on us. She is so polite and truly cares about the experience. I worked in 5 star dining a few times and can say that she is equivalent to a 5 star maitre d'. She makes this place exceptional.
I also want to give credit to every employee here. My aunt and I dined in after Sunday Mass recently. Anna personally checked on everyone that was there. My aunt's salad was not right. The waitress brought her back a new one made right in about 2 minutes, and let my aunt keep the first one as well.
One day I ordered a couple pizzas from Pizza Hut, but the driver could not make change for a $50 bill, which is all I had. I called every pizza place in Hopewell and they all refused to make change for a 50. I called Rosa's and explained what was happening. Knowing that I was getting desperately hungry, they fixed my pizza and had it delivered in about 20 minutes. (I live close-by) they made change for my 50 and even brought napkins that I did not ask for.
I want to say "Thank you" to everyone who works here. You guys are awesome and I will be over again...
