My boyfriend and I went here for dinner. It was a busy night and plenty of birthday shout outs going around. It was really crowded and loud. Very cozy, cabin type atmosphere. We received their famous butter rolls and they were delicious. To start off we ordered the combo appetizer and it was pretty good (we chose boneless mild wings, tater skins, and rattlesnake bites). The bacon bits on the tater skins were too soft in my opinion though.
For our meals, we both ordered the fillet medallions (this is different from the Dallas fillet as it is three fillets instead of one); however, I wanted the Porterhouse but they were out. They were out of all bone in steaks. Still trying to figure out how a steakhouse runs out of their best steaks. 🧐 Noteworthy, I didn’t find out that they were out of the Porterhouse for over 10 minutes after our meals were put in. 😑
I will never order the fillet medallions again. I ordered my fillets to be medium rare, but they were very rare. My boyfriend ordered his steak medium, but they were medium rare or so we thought. I took his thinking they were all medium rare, but as I cut through each steak, they were all cooked different. One was medium rare, one was medium well, and the last one was well done. By the time they brought his back (originally mine) what he wanted cooked as medium was well done. Very disappointing for a steakhouse.
Moving on, he got a baked potato and I got a sweet potato. Both were good. We both had a salad. They brought his correct and mine was wrong. Took forever to get the dressing. The last side he ordered was buttered corn was overcooked. My last side item rice. The rice was served way after the rest of my meal like I’m talking about 20 minutes by then I didn’t want it, but I tried it anyway and it was overcooked. Terrible taste to it.
This is my second not so great experience here. The last one was my birthday last year, November 2024. I used to have really good experiences here and was able to order what I wanted with no issues (both dining in and ordering us takeout), but seemingly gone downhill since then..
At first our waitress was cheerful and seemed attentive, but it changed after that. Long periods of not seeing her or being checked on throughout the meal. At the end, I had to wait for the porterhouse to be taken off so I could pay. I was ready to get out of there.
Great for appetizers, but...
Read moreThe food was great, surprisingly. We enjoyed everything. This place doesn't have the capacity to accommodate large parties. We had a party of 15 for a birthday party, and we were literally sat so far apart from each other that it really killed the moment. We thought they were at least going to try and put us all in the same section. Sadly, no, we were totally disappointed. They had a room that we all could have sat in together, but we were told that section was closed. I worked in a restaurant before, and I understand sections have been closed. However, when we had large parties, we asked a server who was either caught up with their tables if they could open that section to accommodate the party, and we paused in sitting their section, until they completed the orders of the party of 15 and the management team or leads will help watch that server tables to make sure all customers were taken care of, Team work is no#1 in any restaurant business, you customers are important and you should want to try to accommodate them in the best possible way and still deliver good customer service, we experienced the complete opposite, we all had different servers, Sadly not one of the servers we had gave good service, they seem very inexperienced and lacked the basic training in serving and customer service. I visited this restaurant years ago, with a smaller party and had a good experience with the place, and the server was good. We had 4 servers, and it was the worst service in a restaurant they I have ever received in a long time, and I don't blame the young ladies that waited on us, but I do blame management. They were not trained properly, and it was very obvious. I did give them some verbal tips that I always gave my team when I worked in the restaurant business. They were trying but were completely lost. Shame on the management team, because they could be great and the accommodations could have been better, but the management team obviously don't care. Again, the food was great. It saved the experience from being a total flop. We will never ever come back again with a large group. I will probably only order takeout. Awful service. I posted my food. I had the Ribeye and Shrimp. I wish I had gotten a picture of everyone food it was the only bright spot in this...
Read moreBy far the worst experience we have ever had at a Texas Roadhouse. We had a party of 5 and was so disappointed because 1 had never been. We traveled from Washington State to visit my granddaughter at college. We took 3 girls out to dinner, of which one was celebrating her birthday. I don't even know where to begin. We were seated and waited quite a long time before our server arrived and took a drink order. 2 people in our party ordered sweet tea and we got unsweetened tea. No rolls were brought out. We had to ask for them. No plates either. When Jenny, our server, brought the rolls she brought 4 rolls for 5 people with the tiniest amount of butter. Literally barely enough butter for 1 roll. After about 15 minutes of sitting there another party sat next to us. We were sitting directly behind the hostess station. There is a full length bench. Jenny took their drink order placed the tray on the bench and took their food order. It was quite sometime before she took ours. One person ordered grilled shrimp and her dinner was cold when it was brought to her. A other person order fries and had to ask for them. I ordered sour cream for my potato and you could hardly find it. Two others order fully load and had a generous amount of sour cream. We were at our table for over 2 hours. Sadly, my granddaughter had asked for them to sing happy birthday to one of the young ladies who turned 19 when we were seated. After dinner, Jenny never gathered the group together and reached out to another young server and she apologized and asked her which girl was celebrating. She then told my granddaughter "I got you girl!" Within 5 minutes they returned and gave her the texas roadhouse shout out. I wish I would have gotten her name but I did not. I must say not only was I blessed with being able to eat dinner sitting next to a drink tray all night but Jenny has the personality of a wet rag and not very good serving skills. Over all experience at this roadhouse was a 1 out if 10. I also missed the line...
