I just got off work and was starving but all I had was $100 bill and it's late so I figured Waffle House was my best choice. I noticed a sign that said Manager special pork chops and eggs I thought perfect. I took a seat at the bar and my server Amanda asked me what I'd like to drink I asked for a sweet tea with lemon she said we're out of lemon. I thought that was odd but got the tea anyway then she asked me if I knew what I wanted. I told her I'd like the special she says we're out of pork chops. I'm wondering why have a special on something you don't have and why not pull the sign if you're out? Trying to stay positive but still very hungry I asked for the classic steak and egg breakfast she says we're out of steak no t bones no ribeyes. I'm thinking next she's going to tell me they are out of Waffles. So she asked me again if I knew what I wanted. I said I did but you're out of everything I want so I settled on a fiesta omlett and a large order of bacon. I left there feeling full but NOT very satisfied with what was probably my worst experience at Waffle House and you can ask my friends they will tell you. I love Waffle House! Sorry guys this time I got to give...
Read moreIf anyone viewed my post on any experiences with business and services knows that I give the most accurate response as possible so here as well I leave my honest experience. I joined to separate occasions into one experience which I give a 4/10 rating. My first visit for take out I had to wait a bit longer which I didn't mind but after receiving my food I found the grits lumpy and cold and the rest of the food was if it was prep cook and serve room temperature but busy morning I understand. My second visit same order now the grits wasn't lumpy but room temperature. The eggs was cook to exact order but room temperature. My complaint was with the waffle, it was cold and it texture was like it was made from a couple day of waffle mixture yuck ! Finally the final disappointment was my sausages was burnt as if deep fried and taken out too late and the cook probably juster 😏and plated it anyway. Lastly on both occasions the overall food was served too cold for breakfast, I have had cold cereal that gave off more warmth. Now I have had some excellent serve breakfast at other waffle houses but not...
Read moreFirst of all it is in fact a Waffle House, not a five star European restaurant so as I’ve said in previous reviews, I adjust my expectations accordingly. HOWEVER I WAS REALLY SURPRISED! The food was EXCELLENT! Customer service was wonderful! Two workers were handling front end and BOTH took time to attend to our table not just one! They weren’t worried about whose job it was to take care of us they just cared that it was done right! And both individuals made it obvious they enjoyed their work and making others smile😊. Even the cook was happy and singing a tune enjoying what he was doing which was making me some of the best grits with cheese I ever had! When I left, I explained to them I have actually eaten in high end restaurants in Paris and Italy and the customer service and food I received this evening were just as good (in some cases even better)! These two very young individuals in their early 20’s who worked around 12:30 am on 4/23/25 should be really proud of themselves! Great job guys!
Did I mention the grits were perfect?! ..and the bacon…and the...
