My family has been going to Taco Pronto for years . It’s a Hot Springs institution. Food is usually above average for fast Mexican food . The pico is also one of the best in town . They do have a few issues however that does need to be addressed. The cleanliness of the restaurant is in serious question. Stained ceiling tiles , bathrooms that are completely filthy. The toilet seat looks like it’s been pulled out of the city dump . Clean restrooms are a MUST at restaurants. IF not you begin to wonder what’s going on in the kitchen. Again the food here is rock soild with decent pricing . The small cheese dip at 7.00 is outrageously expensive for the small size you get . All food items are microwaved before getting to your table so if this is a turn off for you look elsewhere. Staff efficient but not overly friendly. The soft drink machine is behind counter for refills can be painfully slow when they are taking orders . They need self service soft drink dispensers which most other restaurants of this caliber have . All in all a good place to get your Mexican food fix but owner needs to stop being greedy and put some money back into the establishment. Start with refurbishing bathrooms and ceiling tiles they are...

I would rate -5 stars if I could 👎I went inside, and ordered my family's dinner to go, to eat at home bc my mother's elderly and bedridden. When I got home I fed my mother 1st and sat down by my husband and we all began eating,I heard my 82 yr.old mother choking on a long black hair,so everyone inspected there meals,I found 2 more long black hairs in mine. I ordered 3 combanation burritos, all were also missing tomatoes, onions, black olives and we're very skimpy made, childs sized, with no extra cheese sauce and they left out the side of guacamole.I calked and talked to the manager, and brought the food back to them, and receipt for a refund (hairs n all) this has never happened before,I'm shocked, unbeliveable,iv ate t.p since I was little.Iv noticed new faces there,so I'm sure that's the reason for this happing. There was no apology, and they are training a new manager, whom was very hateful during the refund.Needless too say,we won't...

it was a Saturday, went thru the drive thru, expecting a long wait because there was about 8 cars in front of us , and I said to my girl well id rather it be slow and good instead of fast and sloppy! first car pulls away before we came to a stop but don't mean nothing , ok this is the test how long is this car Gunna wait ? bout a minute later it pulls off followed by another 2 mins later ditto on the next and the subsequent cars about the same , uh oh this don't look good and we weren't there but a couple of minutes also and we ordered 3 pronto special No 2s now if you haven't had the number 2 pronto special your Gunna love it and it's the best economical choice but anyway we got some pico sause with it and I asked for some green chili sauce (par exelaunce) anyway we are about a mile frome home and I say well we can doctor them up , maybe put em in the microwave but to make a long story short (L0L) the were excellent right...

three words- CHICKEN CHEESE CRISP. Dear goodness is it awesome but eat it immediately! It gets too soggy on a trip home and the best part is the crispy fried flour tortilla edges and it comes in a pizza box, so satisfying. Also, they have a Pronto burger that is literally the Mexican sloppy Joe! It’s buns with all the hamburger toppings and pilled with a fat scoop of taco ground beef. It’s pretty dang good but eat it hot too as it doesn’t hold well it’s so juicy. Bonus, it’s less than $4. The tostadas which are vegetarian are about $1.80 so I appreciate that. If you eat inside there’s a really good salsa bar. The cheese reminds me of the kind you get on ball park nachos, which they also serve. The chicken is truly the best and they only use breast meat. As far as Tex mex goes, it’s the bottom of the line but it really is satisfying in its own right. Again, the chicken crisp is the bomb and there’s no other like it in town.

Local hot spot, but not as good as I hoped. Atmosphere was good, employees seemed busy and nice. Food was good, but nothing I’d write home about or put on a pedestal. Was a bit bland for me. I like flavors to pop, so perhaps if you have a more mellow pallet, you may not encounter the same. Place was also hard to find a table or piece of floor that was not needing some attention. We literally had to semi clean off a table ourselves to sit down. However, in there defense, they were blasted busy that day, with a long line to tend to, so they were probably stretched to their limits as well. I would certainly be willing to try it again, but it’s not something that stands out to me to try and return to. Giving 4 stars because I’m giving the benefit of the doubt on the fact that they were really busy, and my pallet may just like more than they offer.

I'll start off by saying this is closer to a 3.5 rating. I had lunch here with friends and I decided on the deluxe Mexican dinner, which includes a taco, tamale, enchilada, beans/rice and chips with queso. For the price it's a good amount of food. As far as taste goes though, I would say it's decent but not great. The taco, tamale and enchilada were all ok. The beans were average but the rice was a bit below average imo. I will say that while just ok, the food was at least prepared differently than most of the Mexican grub I've had in this state. What I mean is quite a few of the Mexican places I've been too seem to use the same cookbook and prepare their dishes very similarly. So anything different is good. On a side note, they only offer 1 refill on fountain drinks so sip conservatively.
