Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Houston

On May 25 at exactly 1:19pm I went to try have some breakfast but at Applebee's all they serve is only lunch and dinner. From the time I got thier I believe the people are new because the attendee did not know if they had breakfast and wondering why the people that work here don't know the price nore what they serve in the own place they work in ! One would guess at least know of the menu you have. It looks very unprofessional not to know what kind of food is serve were you work. I believe this was my the frist bad impression at this establishment. But it was another issue the food was serve in a timely manner but not very well done or cooked. I did tell Jaylon R who was a great server and brought exactly what I wanted. So as we eat the combo the chess was not well cooked and cold as we ordered a salad and chicken rice tray the salad that was very soggy with grilled chicken I got fried chicken instead so did tell Jaylon that was fixed. The bread stick according to the Chef or Manger it was a fried bread. Well I did share that the bread and my guest rice was cold and bread was hard as rock. So Jaylon send this man who appears to be the barback not the manager because he was not addressing me adequately nore at all professional. That a strange man came to the table and all he did was give me a thumbs up only then left.I tried to take care of the food issues but the manager was not helping nore did he attempts to fix my issues. I was hungry the server did get the manager yet again but he decided to come by when we finished eating the cold food. The soggy salad had the bread stick the manger said it got cold because I waited 15 to 20 min to eat it. I haver never heard of fried bread stick nore does the menu said anything about a cold fried bread stick with a salad. So the manger was talking to me in Spanish and when I told him in English what was wrong with my food then I think he finally understood. That thiers no fried stick with soggy salad this a bad establishment, bad service the manger doesn't not know how to handle customers nore has any customer service skills need more training. The manger did not render his name did not look like a manger, was not wearing a uniform, no name tag .I was just talking to some random person who diceded to tell me he was the manger when I left for the extreme bad service. Did not bother to fix my food nore try help with my order. To top it off he said no one ever complain only I do ! Incredible the so called manger was getting upset because I had a issue with the food and basically I'm a nobody...... I don't think they believe in the customers is always rigjt. Ignorant people who work thier don't even know how to handle in professional manner you complain. Do Not Recommend thie so called restaurants don't even have...

My family and I visited this restaurant on 11/9/18, we arrived there close to midnight as we just had finished watching a movie and wanted to dine to celebrate my daughters sixteenth birthday. Everything was closed other than Denny’s and Whataburger, but we decided to go to this location as we had visited this Applebees before and it was a great experience. We were a big party of 8 adults and 2 kids totaling 10. The hostess came to greet us after awhile and was surprised at the amount of the party. She tried her best to accommodate us but my teenage daughter suggested that she wanted to have a separate table of her own with her friends. Therefore, my husband and I decided to let the hostess know of our decision to have separate tables and bills. My daughter and her 3 friends went to sit in a bigger corner booth while the other 4 and my 2 young children chose to go to another table. Some time passed, and no one had stopped to take our drink order. We let it slide and took the time to figure out our orders. Aside from the wait, everything was going well until one of the employees raised the volume to an inappropriate rap song on the radio. The music was so loud that it was impossible to carry a conversation. At this moment my husband and I decided that it would be best if my oldest daughter sitting with us would go home with the children. We didn’t want to spoil my daughter’s birthday celebration by leaving, since when we glanced over to her table we saw that they looked like they were enjoying their time together. A waitress finally came to our table and asked if we had been helped. We said we had not and she then proceeded to take our order. In the midst of taking both our drink and food order she made a rude comment when she saw that we were a bit slow in placing our order. She remarked, “Are you going to give me your orders because I have other tables to tend to.” At this moment I wanted to leave, but we didn’t as my daughter’s table already placed their order therefore we had to endure for the rest of the night. Overall the service was disappointing and the staff very immature and unprofessional. If I could rate this location lower than one star I would but that is not an option. I am hoping that the company looks into selecting better qualified employees for their establishments. As for my family and I, we will not be...

So last night my husband , kids and cousins-in-law decided to go out to lunch / dinner like we do ONCE a week … decided to stop by here because we wanted some drinks ( the Bacardi buckets ) my husband walked in first to make sure there was not a wait time there was no wait time …. So by the time we walked in the door we was seated immediately even though we had to wait 15 minutes before we had to ask for our waitress . The waitress was a NEW white male that seemed racist and he didn’t know ANYTHING about the menu ! Everytime we said we wanted something he would say or we don’t have that or I don’t know about them drinks or we ran out of them just as he said it the last time the same thing we was ordering was coming out at the bar . Once he asked for our ID’s and decided to snatch it from me we then asked for a manager. My cousin got up to go talk to the manager and he proceeds to say this is the second time this is happened tonight and sends us another server over. This happened to be the nicest server even though he was training, he made sure that I will order was correct and that we got everything we asked for even though there still was a slight problem my cousin had to go to the bar to get my drink and I’m gonna go to the back in the kitchen to get my husbands appetizer that came out last while everybody else was done their dinner! I thought from going to a restaurant like this, knowing that my cousin has two years of experience with Applebee’s she said that the appetizer was supposed to come out first and the rest of the food was supposed to come out together, so everyone could eat dinner together. Overall, this was the worst Applebee’s I have ever been to and the service besides the second Hispanic male was a terrible. I really feel like they need to get a complete new staff and I need to figure out a way to handle and be more professional with customer...
