Seaside Poke — Restaurant in Houston

Went for lunch and loved everything about it!

The establishment is light, bright, airy and super clean. You walk in and use the notepads to select your base and toppings for your bowl.

I selected a combo of salad and rice and I also chose spicy tuna as my protein. I wasn’t quite sure what else I should add so I asked the person assisting me to pick the rest of my bowl and it was fantastic! Y’all know I LOVE spicy and what she picked had me sweating (YES!)

My bowl contained a mix of Serrano peppers 🌶️ cucumber, fried garlic and fried shallots for crunch. She also suggested a mix of spicy aioli and sweet toyu that she said balanced beautifully and was she right! I included the ticket for my order because it was delish! I’ll definitely be back for that same bowl ✨

And of course they had lemonade, it was a Lemonade Tea and I’m typically it a fan of that combination but theirs was great! It was so good I got two.

Give them a try, the staff was great, very helpful and everything was fresh...

Seaside Poke is a local poke restuarant with three different locations in Houston. I have tried their location in the Underground Foodhall before, but this is my first time visiting their stand alone location near Spring Branch.

There is limited parking in the front but more parking in the back. The inside is spacious and clean with lots of seating and natural lighting.

I got the regular with three scoops of protein where I chose the spicy tuna and salmon. Avocado and seaweed salad are an additional cost. The fish and toppings were very fresh. I really like the puff rice toppings, as well. I do wish the scoops of proteins were a bit bigger, however. For the sauce, I like to get the spicy aioli, which tastes like spicy mayo.

Seaside Poke has the freshest and the most high quality poke of all the poke places I’ve tried in Houston. They take great care of their ingredients and it makes their poke bowls really shine. My go to order is the truffle yellowtail with salmon, but I like that they have the kani bake poke bowl for days when I’m not feeling like raw fish.

The staff are very friendly - greeted me as I walked in and said thank you as I left.

I love this new location in particular because it is only 7 minutes from my apartment (even during traffic hours) and the decor is super cute. Dining in is nice because the inside gets excellent lighting and the greenery makes the place very serene.
