Bigotes Street Tacos Willowbrook Mall — Restaurant in Houston

I really wanted to like this place, but it's a no for me. I typically read reviews before eating anywhere, but since I was at the mall for other business, it completely went over my head. The young lady at the counter was nice, but I had to repeat my order three times, so not sure if she couldn't hear or just want paying attention. I ordered a birria quesadilla, agua de Jamaica and esquites, fancy word for corn in a cup. 🙄 I paid a little over $20, got a food pager and waited. While I waited I was given free charro beans, maybe about 3 oz. (Free with every order) The beans were cold, not warm, but straight up cold. The flavor was not all that bad, but eating cold food when it's intended to be hot is such a let down. No wonder they were free. The agua de Jamaica was ok. After 5-8 minutes my pager went off. Walked up to the counter to pick up my food and I could already tell I was not going to like the esquites. There was so much liquid in the cup, gross. The cheese was relatively cold and the corn was luke warm. Just terrible. Still had the birria quesadilla to try. It was dry looking. Took a bite, ABSOLUTELY NO FLAVOR and again, not hot. There wasn't much meat either, mostly tortilla and cheese. I was given a red and green sauce and thought that maybe these could salvage the rest of the quesadilla. What a let down. The red sauce was a bit spicy, but no flavor. The green one, well just terrible. I was so disappointed because I picked this over Incredible Burger...

Food,service, atmosphere five stars☆☆☆☆☆♡employees were very professional, polite, patient & helpful. They made sure i received fantastic service. They didn't skimp out on any napkins, cutlery🍴 & food servings. The atmosphere is very clean, inviting, laid back, enjoyable, private & tucked into the corner away from all the crowded,cluttered, deafeningly loud mess that is the food court. Its actually very private, fun & quieter than the rest of the food court, but still engaging. i really like the private back glass door makes it easy to enter & exit & avoid the congestion. I was impressed by the delicious large portions of food with all the fixings,, the fresh 🥑🍅🧅🧄guacamole, sour cream/crema Fresca, salsas Roja 🌶& Verde you could want, yummiest Aguas frescas with fresh ingredients 🧋🌮🌮🌯🥙🫔 everything was perfect 👌🏼I've been here twice already & plan to return just for the food. Also prices are very appropriate & fair, food is very inflated & expensive everywhere you go (many places charge exorbitant prices for bad low quality food, are unhygienic, disgusting, with bad service & small portions, not the case here) . Food is especially going to be pricier in locations like malls bc rent is higher, but the food here is reasonable, practical & worth it for the high quality, fresh ingredients & large meals & drinks you get plus there are alcoholic beverages for those who wish to...

I am so fan of tacos bigotes. I ate in 249 and fondren locations are the tacos are so good, they are excellent. But, today, I try willowbrook location and the experience was awful. First, I ordered 3 tacos de lengua and 2 of fajita and I paid the extra for tacos de lengua. They gave me 3 tacos of fajita and 2 of lengua. I ate 1 taco of lengua when I saw they are incomplete. I talked with the cashier, and she said that they couldn’t do anything because I already eat. Second, the flavor of the fajita ones was horrible. I just ate 2 tacos of the order of 5. I returned the order. Of course, I did not ask for refund, that is not the idea. The idea is that they give a good service and serve for what you pay. I never go again to that...
