Ok so I am officially addicted to this place. The enchiladas are gooey, not to spicy, and very flavorful. Just plain good and comforting. The chilaquiles verde are spicy and cheesy with crispy tortilla chips. Sopes are nice and loaded with toppings. Gordita de carne asada was crisp on the outside and gooey inside. Their quesadillas can be very greasy but still flavorful. I have had the tacos de lengua, carne asada, al carbon, and barbacoa. They were very good too. Fresh tasting salsa. Oh and their beans have no pork! Over all this place has everything your looking for in a taqueria. Cheap, tasty, fast mexican food. Better than any other taquerias near by. Not saying it is the best in Houston but if you are nearby it is worth a try.
The only con is that they don't have lemon or pineapple agua...
Read moreMy intentions for this place were decent. After my first experience here, now I’m thinking this is the worst excuse of a restaurant. I placed our order 20 minutes before we arrived. When my husband went to pay; the cashier threw away the receipt. The wait went on for another 45 minutes just to receive the order. I arrived home the 2 horchata, 2 Gordita’s and 1 bean and cheese burrito with rice cheese and beans were all made incorrectly and the horchata did not taste authentic it was beyond disgusting. I asked to speak to the manager she said the manager wasn’t available and tried to retake the order instead of taking a complaint. She acted as if she didn’t know what I was talking about. I felt the situation wasn’t handled correctly; it was very unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend anyone...
Read moreSooooooooo……… -Service was very slow -Table smelled like it had been cleaned with a sour rag no napkins? None on the table and none served with the meal seems to be a lot of issues with homeless people/ vagrants judging by the signs posted everywhere and the locked bathrooms bathrooms themselves look like a nasty gas station bathroom
If you can get past all that, the tacos here were pretty solid. I tried pastor, carnitas, fajitas and carbon. Each has a very distinct flavor. Carnitas were good crispy. The green salsa is pretty solid.
Side note that it looks like maybe this particular restaurant has new owners as there is no signage outside that...
