If you like Sunday brunch matched with music and other entertainment, then a place to consider in Houston is CAPS Supper Club and Bar. This establishment is slightly upscale and a good choice when you want music to go along with your meal.

I have visited here mostly for Sunday brunch and one of my favorite choices is the Italian Sausage Omelet with potatoes on the side. Served with a cocktail or other drink, it’s a great way to start my day. Other worthy brunch options include the Coconut Berry French Toast, Steak and Eggs, etc.

Brunch is what I usually go here for, but CAPS is also a good place for lunch or dinner. Their Short Ribbed Grilled Cheese is a favorite, and the entrées like the Chicken Paillard or 8-ounce Hangar Steak are sure to put a smile on your face. Not only is the food good and tasty, but the presentation is nice, too, making for countless photo taking and sharing opportunities.

Entertainment is part of the scene at CAPS and one of the qualities that set this establishment apart. You will find a DJ playing selected tunes, live musicians, and karaoke, depending on the day of the week. It’s always a good idea to check the calendar before you visit, to see what entertainment is in store. There is a private room, too, which is great for gatherings.

Prices at CAPS Supper Club and Bar are a little higher than those of other restaurants. But the atmosphere is also a notch higher and there are some reasonably priced items on the menu. It’s a good restaurant option overall and one I recommend for brunch, or for those times when you want some entertainment and a place that is a little more upscale than average, but not...

Overall, I had a wonderful experience. I was meeting a large group of friends who prefer to dance to fantastic bands, than eat tons of food at 9pm. A reservation was made for 30, but obviously rejected by mgmt without telling the friend that made the reservation. My date and I chose to sit at a two topper. The seats were low to the table, so my shoulders were in line with the table top. (I, actually, considered asking for a booster seat, but realized that was not going to be fulfilled. ) This position would cause me issues later when I tried to eat my dinner. I ordered the Chicken Pillaird. It was beautifully presented. The chicken breast was pounded out 'crepe' thin. The roasted potatoes and carrots were as tough as raw vegetables. When I tried to cut into the chicken and vegetables, my butter knife was not cutting through easily. (The waiter did offer me a serrated knife. I chose to fight my way through.) There was a cut lemon on my plate. It was a meal saver! I took a few bites and wasn't happy with the flavor or toughness of the chicken and vegetables. I squeezed the lemon, a very firm lemon, on the food. It definitely improved the flavor, but not the toughness. Despite all these issues, the atmosphere is pleasant, the wait staff are very attentive and the music was excellent. I will go back and try CAPS again. My friends have said they will not return because the mgmt ejected my friend for bringing a group that had more interest in music...

My experience at caps was exceptional, thanks in large part to the outstanding service provided by Bre. From the moment we arrived, Bre's warm welcome and attentive demeanor set the tone for a delightful evening. Her knowledge of the menu and recommendations were spot-on, enhancing our dining choices.

As a vegan, I often encounter limited options at restaurants, but here, the chef went above and beyond to accommodate my dietary preferences. They crafted a customized pasta dish that surpassed my expectations. The combination of fresh vegetables, perfectly cooked pasta, and a flavorful vegan sauce showcased the chef's creativity and commitment to catering to diverse tastes.

Beyond the food, the ambiance of the restaurant was inviting, with a cozy yet elegant atmosphere that made our meal even more enjoyable. The attention to detail in both service and presentation further elevated the experience.

Overall, my visit to Caps was truly memorable, thanks to Bre's exceptional service and the chef's thoughtful consideration of my vegan requirements. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience where every guest is valued and...
