Disappointing Experience at Chocolate Zeina - Chocolate Fettuccini, High Prices, and Unpleasant Service My family and I were eager to have chocolate fettucini at Sleek, but unfortunately, it was closed. We heard that Chocolate Zeina Cafe offered a similar dish, so we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, our experience at Cholcolate Zeina Cafe left much to be desired. Upon receiving our order, we were disappointed to find that there was not enough chocolate on the plate. Midway through our meal, we approached the person in charge, likely a member of the family running the business, to request additional chocolate. The encounter turned unpleasant, with the individual being rude and condescending, stating, "I did not give you the plate like that" after inspecting it. When I inquired about purchasing extra chocolate, he quoted a price of $1.5, on top of the already steep $16 we had paid for the dish. Although we agreed to the extra charge, he abruptly turned his back and walked away without fulfilling the request. In addition to the unsatisfactory service and dry chocolate on the plate, we also found the portions to be significantly smaller compared to Sleek. The high prices coupled with these small portions further contributed to our disappointment. I am attaching a picture to illustrate the subpar quality of the dish. In conclusion, I cannot recommend Chocolate Zeina Cafe for their chocolate fettucini. Sleek, in contrast, has consistently provided more generous portions and friendlier service in our previous experiences. The individual at Zeina Cafe, displaying condescending behavior, could benefit from a customer service course. This unfortunate encounter, marked by expensive prices, smaller portions, and poor service, has solidified my decision not to return, and I would caution others against choosing this establishment.

I went here tonight and when I walked in there were only myself and another customer. My family wasn’t greeted or anything, and we stood there being ignored. The Asian man in-front of me, was also being ignored. Once I went to order, I ordered the Chocolate Dipping the woman asked if I wanted 1-4. I had no idea what that meant and asked for specifics. She seemed to be annoyed and said you can choose items 1 through 4. I said, okay I’ll choose 4 items and have them all strawberries. She then told me, I couldn’t have all strawberries I had to choose 3 different types. Which, I think is ridiculous, if I want a lot of strawberries, just give me all strawberries. So I ended up choosing one item and again, sticking to strawberries. I also ordered the crepes. Fast forward, we got our food and I was so disappointed… there were only FOUR strawberries for $15! And a cup of chocolate to dip in. The crepes were great tho. Sooo. Safe to say, I don’t think we’ll be back.

Chocolat Zeina is an interesting place. I was not sure what to expect, but I had been told about the Turkish coffee and the baklava. The inside of the place is clean, very bright, and well cooled by the A/C on a hot afternoon. The place is spatial, it feels like big place. Lots of tables with big, soft chairs. There are outlets to plug in to. The service was pleasant, if slightly under-informed. There are a ton of food and drink choices here. They have all sorts of sweets and candies. Despite the options, I went with the Turkish coffee and baklava. The coffee was good, reminded me of a slightly more bitter Cuban coffee. The baklava was pretty good, not the best I’ve had, but it was also a rather different mix from other places where I worship the baklava. Very quiet on the morning I was here, very few people, I get the feeling the evenings are when they do their best business.

I was hesitant to go here due to previous bad experiences, but my daughter insisted so we went. I’ve always felt unwelcome here as a South Asian person, and at the competition cafe as well. When we were ordering, it was evident the employee was fairly new and still being trained. His coworker came and corrected him a few times while entering items, and I had to correct him a few times too.

He repeated the order back to me, and I check the monitor and it was fine. When we got our order, an item was incorrect and when I told them, he told me “a lady” in my party approved it. I told him no, I was the only one who spoke to him. So he wasn’t even able to remember a conversation ten minutes ago. His coworker came and told me that he said it to me, and I checked it. He was very rude, and due to previous experiences I knew it wasn’t worth it to go back and forth with him.

In addition to that, the tiramisu latte literally tasted like complementary coffee you get at car dealerships. Arabic coffee was awful too.

I recommend you just invest in the materials to make these items at home. The staff is typically rude, unwelcoming, and the prices are berserk. However, I will say the ladies behind the counter were very sweet.

Overall, super unfortunate that the experience was this bad. I’ll be saving my money and making it at home from now on.

I’ll be sure to take my business to Busy Boy from now on instead of here or Sleek. Also if you don’t believe me, just look at their response to low rated...

I had a bad customer service today with the young lady at the register who claimed to be the owner’s daughter. Been waiting in line by myself for good 20minutes on a Friday afternoon with 4 workers behind the counter and not a single one approaching me to ask what I need help with. Finally approached this young lady at the register who claimed to be the owner’s daughter, and asked her if someone can help. She told me wait in line (note: there was no one else in line except me), then came to me showing angry attitude and asked what the heck do I need. Told her need a plate to pickup chocolate by weight as advertised. She told me we only do boxes or bags. Told her that I need a plate as I always did when coming to this shop (plates were next to her hand by the way). She told me that I need to be respectful before she can serve me. Told her politely I don’t understand what exactly was disrespectful about asking for a plate. She started yelling at me!!! Decided to not to lower myself to respond back to this garbage behavior and waited for someone else to come and help; who finally came after they served several people who were behind me in line. The guy who came grabbed the freakin plate and finished my order in 2 minutes. Will not come back to this place until they replace this nasty cash register person.

To the owner: if this person is truly your daughter: ...
