We had the absolute best experience with Lam Bo Ballroom, and I cannot recommend it enough for anyone planning their wedding! From the very beginning, Mike Lam and his team went above and beyond - their responsiveness, care, and personal attention made us feel so supported throughout the planning process and ensured that our wedding planning was a breeze.

Our guests, especially those who traveled from out of town, were blown away by the venue and the food. I loved hearing them rave not just about the dishes, but also about how seamless and thoughtful every detail was. Unlike venues like Kim Son, Lam Bo allows you to book the entire ballroom exclusively, which made our celebration feel intimate and private. The spacious parking was a huge relief for guests, and we even got to have a sparkler exit with a food truck outside - a highlight that was only possible because of Lam Bo’s layout and architecture.

The service was impeccable. The staff were attentive, kind, and proactive, and they catered beautifully to food allergies without a hitch. What really set Lam Bo apart for us was how versatile the space is; we wanted a venue that could host both our wedding ceremony and reception in one place. The ballroom transitioned effortlessly from a heartfelt, elegant ceremony to a lively reception without the hassle of shuttling our guests elsewhere. It truly felt like a one-stop shop that saved us time, energy, and stress while still giving us the wedding of our dreams.

The space itself is stunning - modern, spacious, and elegant - making it easy to decorate classically but also flexible enough to reflect our style. Every moment flowed smoothly, and by the end of the night, our guests were still talking about how perfect everything was. We had several friends inquire about Lam Bo after our wedding and who booked it for theirs, too!

I was thoroughly impressed with Lam Bo Ballroom this past weekend when I attended a friend's wedding. My review is solely on my experience as a guest.

If you're planning to have a Vietnamese/Chinese style wedding, Kim Son is usually the top pick. However, I would consider Lam Bo Ballroom as a venue. I enjoy the ballroom being inside the city, and that it is kind of hidden from the busy street of Westheimer (it's behind the Lam Bo buffet restaurant). I also like that they have a big parking lot. I don't think valet is necessary. The ballroom is big but only enough to host 1 wedding (up to 600 guests). I like this idea a lot! Unlike Kim Son Bellaire, there's no chance of having wedding crashers or your guests going to the wrong wedding/room. Inside the ballroom, it's very grand and has high ceilings. It's in pretty good shape. Reminds me of the same design you would see at a hotel ballroom. With that being said, decorations can be at a minimum since the ballroom is pretty on its own. They also have a built in bar to the right of the ballroom.

Food was good! It's definitely not what you find next door at the buffet. I think the menu we had was the standard 9 course and my friends and I were satisfied.

Who knows, I might be writing an updated review in a few years with my experience as a bride!

Restroom review: The restrooms are located to the right when you walk through the first set of doors. I don't typically expect a nice restroom when I'm at an Asian establishment, but I remember saying "Wow" when I walked in. It was very clean!! I had my wedding (2/25/2023) and rehearsal dinner (2/23/2023) at Lam Bo.

Point of contact for renting the ballroom was Michael and he was exceptional to work with from beginning to the end . He was very accommodating and easy to communicate with.

Eric was so sweet and hardworking. Eric stepped in when Michael was not on site. He truly wanted to make sure that me and my husband were happy.

These two were helpful in answering any questions and delivered a successful and beautiful wedding for us. We are in awe about how beautiful everything was. Our wedding was ~330 guests and the venue was large enough to accommodate all of us and still had plenty of room to feel comfortable.

Food - the lambo buffet was great. They also have a private room in the back that allowed us to hold our rehearsal dinner. Food items at the buffet are different than the food items for the ballroom . I recommend scheduling a tasting prior to the event to try what meals you may want to be served. All of my guests enjoyed the food and gave high raves :)

Venue came with their own security and bartender. I was also able to project a PowerPoint slide show on the large wall inside. The Dance floor was large and all of my guests had a blast dancing the night away.
