We went to get my favorite Key Lime pie; I was so eager to eat my House of Pies Key Lime Pie! Well, disappointment came quickly! When I got home and sliced into my Key Lime pie, the crust was burnt! In some parts the crust was missing or scraped out due to being burnt. I call House of Pies and tell Juan my Key Lime Pie is burnt. This where it gets beyond belief, Juan says no its not, I get ticked off because I am looking at a burnt pie crust, it even tasted burnt. I ask for the Manager and Juan puts me on hold and comes back to the phone and says this is the Manager. That sounds like a lie! Then asking for Joseph and Juan says He is gone and Juan says again he is the manager. I told him that I want a refund for this burnt pie, I live 30+ miles away. Juan says I have to bring the pie back. So me and my friend take the burnt Key Lime crusted pie back, I took 1 bite and the burnt flavor was all through the pie. The worst part when we get there is Juan lies to my friend that bought the pie and says that he never spoken to me and he did not know the pie was burnt....I was really angry. Juan had the nerve to check the pie and see if the crust was burnt when over the phone he admitted he knew it was burnt. My friend has the money put back on his card and no apology no compensation or offer of another pie. I do not recommend House of Pies any location, I have had a bad experience at 3 of them, so House of Pies are 3...

Long story short, we were charged for two carrot cakes by accident (this is not on our server whatsoever! Just a simple mistake. He tried to fix the issue). No problem, right? Easy fix, no big deal at all. So we go to pay and we're charged $18, the price of our original (incorrect) ticket. It should have been more like $14 without the second carrot cake ($4.75). We explain this to, who I'm assuming is the manager and he tried to tell us he had already fixed it. We tell him no, even explain the math, and he treats us as if we are just some young stupid kids. Now, I'm not one to throw a fit over $4 in a public place having a good night with family. So we just paid it as to not hold up the line and enjoy our night. It's not about the money at all, it's the disgusting attitude of the man who refused to listen to us when we only ordered, received, and ate one carrot cake! I hate to leave such a negative review on such a wonderful business, but I just hope whatever management above him might notice, making a better environment for the customers...
Read moreOld-fashioned, classic dining, and good ole' pies. House of Pies is literally what the name suggests a place filled with sweet pies, no savory ones here. They serve a wide range of pies from classics such as apple, cherry, and blueberry to more specialized like German chocolate cream, banana pudding cake, and Texas pecan. I've never tried all the pies but I do have certain favorites such as dutch apple or blueberry, and add a scoop of ice cream. Sweet baby Jesus, you're in sugary Heaven. Seriously though their pies are great and not overpoweringly sweet, just enough. Their malt shakes are also pretty great and quite thick. In addition to pies they also serve diner food like burger and fries, a breakfast plate, or even fish and chips. What's even better is that this place is open 24-hours a day excluding special holidays. Overall, this is the place you want to go if you've got a sweet-tooth craving or it's 3 am and you're looking for something better than a Denny's. Prices range from $5-10 a plate,
