The food is ok, not great! And like most restaurants its packed for lunch. The restaurant is clean and the buffet area is not messy or dirty. The staff is ok; however my recent visit April 24, 2021 shows they charge sushi roll at $1 pz which is ridiculous because it's included in buffet. They check your plate at every angle to make sure how much to charge extra. There excuse is that some people only take sushi or only seafood and I get that but if I'm only taking 3-4 pz of sushi and a mix plate I should not have to pay $15 for the plate pluse an additional $4 for 4 small rolls. Definitely not going there again. There ripping people off and the food isn't that great! Personally I felt uncomfortable having people ck my plate from every angle as if I was stealing something. Very disappointed and manager was horrible!

The buffet location most frequently visited since other nice spots have closed and were ahead of their time (remember Fu-Kim on Fannin?). Best time to come is when they open; you view the staff loading the buffet trays, get seated at your desired location and enjoy the freshly prepared items. I've also enjoyed their food at different times- still good but more difficult to get a table where you want šŸ˜. Photos show some of the selections offered - and they currently are serving delicious pineapple and watermelon fresh fruit during the dinner and weekend buffet times. Photos are from the lunch time opening - IHOP had a 40 minute wait, so we went to the buffet which opened at 11AM - a better option anyway šŸ˜…. Enjoy the photos!

The staff was in their own world and engaged in a conversation that I had to wait through before finally hearing me behind them. When i was finally seated, I was supposed to receive a table according to the cashier. The food was decent enough, but the labeling of the food left much to be desired. If you don't know what your food is supposed to look like, you may get something completely different than what the sign states. Again, as I went to pay, the cashier informed me that I was supposed to have a ticket that they never provided. Was it with $15? Yes and no. Go for the meals, you know. Not for the service.

If I were permitted to assign a zero rating, I would do so without hesitation. My family visited this restaurant for dinner, only to be deceived into paying $63.65 instead of the actual amount of $38.65. My daughter and her husband’s food was subsequently removed due to her experiencing an illness. Both receipts indicate that $63.65 was debited from our account, including a senior meal that was supposedly unpaid.

Instead of obtaining the senior license plate, which belonged to my father, the manager, Mireya, gathered my son’s credit card for making the payment successfully and added his license plate and the vehicle registration to the FLOCK camera database.

The manager, Mireya, subsequently lied to the police, claiming that the payment was not made. Consequently, the police placed my son’s license plate into the FLOCK system. The following day, my daughter-in-law and my autistic grandson were pulled over by police with their weapons drawn, as they were searching for the registered owner of the vehicle in which my son resides. My daughter-in-law and grandson were traumatized by the incident, and my daughter-in-law is now extremely fearful of driving.

We have provided receipts that have been removed from my son’s account. However, the manager, Mireya, asserts that she is unable to take responsibility for her actions and that this matter is up to the police officer. She has also been untruthful about the entire situation, causing significant stress for my family.

When I visited the restaurant to confront them about the overcharge and the so-called unpaid senior meal, Mireya refused to accept any accountability for her actions. She is attempting to conceal the incident. Mireya claims that she has no knowledge of how to resolve this matter and that it is up to the police officer. However, she has been inconsistent in her statements about the entire situation, which is causing immense distress to my family.

The manager, Mireya, has also denied providing me with the case number for contacting the HPD. She stated that she spoke to the officer and that the matter is under investigation. However, she has provided multiple conflicting statements . She has also refused to provide me with the contact information for corporate office or the general manager.

Based on these experiences, I would never dine at this establishment again. The staff and company are incredibly dishonest and do not take responsibility for...

In town visiting and decided to give them a try on a Saturday night. I figured the food would be hot and fresh with the number of people eating there, the buffet would be replenished frequently however that was not the case.

The food was cold, old and not very flavorful at all. The General Taos chicken was very disappointing, it was not the big, batter dipped flavorfull sauced dish we expected. The pieces were small, cubed, mushy chicken pieces in a very runny, flavorless sauce. The orange chicken was the same story.

All the food with the exception of the chicken wings were cold, the food is not being held at proper holding temps. The health department should look into this.

The seafood dishes smelled rotten, the meat at the Mongolian grill station was discolored and looked very off.

The Mac and cheese was not Mac and cheese but macaroni noodles in a bright yellow soup.

The stir fried beef with peppers was so salty, i couldn't eat it and I love salt but this was way over the top.

The sodas were flat and the scoop yourself ice cream in random tubs can't possibly be ok with the health department?

The place was a bit dirty and the tables were not very clean.

On the bright side, the service was good as were the chicken wings and spare ribs.

Overall I would definitely not eat here again! Save your money and possibly a case of food poisoning and eat...

I am very disappointed with this place. It has spiral downward from the past 2 years forward. We we're regulars but stop going 2 years ago because we got food poisoning from bad chicken.. we decided to give it a 2nd chance tonight but oh what a mistake that was. The servers including our waitress were rude.. I asked for lemons upon arrival for my iced tea and because I put lemon on almost all my food.. surprise they were out of lemons.. what!!! at 6pm dinner service on a Sunday night, really!!! I complained to our server and to two other servers and they didn't like it. After that they were rude the rest of our time there, talked amongst them and looked at our table and one server passed by our table and mumbled CACA! Some of the food was cold and when we went to check out the cashier didn't even talked to me.. she came out of the bathroom accompanied by our server and I guess she gave her the 411. She signal me with her index to go pay and did not spoke to me just slapped the ticket on the counter and pointed for me to sign.. at the end I signed it and slapped it back on the counter like she did to me. Horrible customer service.. they just lost good potential customers. We will be taking our business elsewhere, you don't do this to customers, what kind of people you have working for you...
