Cicis Pizza — Restaurant in Houston

Very disappointed in my visit. I grew up going to Cici's but have been living in other regions where they don't have any presence for the past few years. If this store is representative of the franchise now days then they are on their way out. The employees were rude, the store was as mess, including standing water in the restrooms, etc. I was also disappointed by the reduced selection available including specialty pizzas and deep dish crust, they don't even have dessert pizza's any more (one of their best options in my opinion that were always popular among family and friends) just brownies and cinnamon rolls. The employees messed up my custom pizza order after talking to 2 separate employees, in both English and Spanish and it was simple with only 3 toppings. They also at other sites used to bus the tables and collect your used plates, here they expect you to clear your own plates. They used to bring your custom order to your table, now they give you a buzzer and you have to go get it yourself. They then have a tip jar on the counter. Let's just say I didn't leave anything for next to no service. Also having been to other similar franchises in other regions that do all of this right and have gluten free options (like pasta and pizza crusts), I was sad to see they are not keeping up and 2 members of our party couldn't eat here due to sensitivities.

In summary I can't recommend this location based on service and condition alone. Also I can't recommend the company due to the reduction/loss of menu items, I now have a better selection at dominoes...

This is the most disgusting place I've ever been and I've been all over. I've been to many Cici's buffets since we've got 3 kids, so I want expecting much... but compared to other Cici's pizza buffets this one is just poor. Hardly any selection provided, soda machine was just carbonated water, facility was filthy!!! First, we had to clean and clear our own table, because staff couldn't be bothered. The place was filled with empty dirty tabled with discarded plates of food, they never cleaned and cleaned any during our entire visit. The pizza quality was so poor... barely any cheese, sauce or toppings on any of it! And I'm not comparing this to a regular pizza chain, I mean compared to other Cici's buffets, the pizza toppings were skimpy. Literally about a teaspoon worth of cheese on 2 slices! I didn't even finish mine because it was so bad... it was like eating bread. I didn't pay for a buffet of bread! Do yourself a favor and go literary ANYWHERE else to eat. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this visit was disappointing. We went in expecting a decent meal, but what we got was far from acceptable. There was an insect splattered on the lettuce. Not just a small gnat — it was visibly crushed and unmistakable. Disgusting. When we brought it to the manager's attention, rather than apologize or take responsibility, he blamed us for finding it. Yes, blamed us. His tone was condescending and dismissive, as if we were the ones inconveniencing him. To make things worse, we had come specifically for the advertised pizza buffet, and there was no pizza on the bar — not even a slice. We waited, thinking they might replenish it, but nothing came out. When we calmly tried to request a refund, we were completely ignored. No eye contact, no explanation, nothing.
