This isn’t a meal, it’s an experience! A Bad one. I don’t know who came up with this Mexanese experiment, but it needs to be stopped! Immediately. This wasn’t a meal, it was an identity crisis on a plate. The food was a bizarre and unpleasant fusion-confusion. The egg rolls? Soggy, limp, and tasted like they’d been dropped in a puddle and reheated with a hair dryer. The “General’s Chicken” why is it red? It was swimming in a watery red sauce, looked like it had been dunked in red Kool-Aid and left to suffer in a kiddie pool, nothing close “General Chicken”, just lost and confused. Mushrooms - sweet and buried in something as thick as molasses. The beef with bell peppers? One bite and my stomach hit the eject button. I spit it out instantly. It had this bizarre, off-putting taste, It reminded me of something I once ate in Mexico, but through a fun house mirror. My stomach said “absolutely not!” The seafood casserole was aggressively fishy, like it fought back. The noodles had a strange, off-putting flavor I couldn’t even place.
The restaurant itself didn’t help matters, worn-out seats, questionable cleanliness, and a general aura of “don’t expect much”.
We paid nearly $50 for two people to be utterly disappointed. My friend literally spit food into a napkin, the waitress noticed, asked if everything was okay, then walked off, but trust me, it was a formality, not genuine concern. This was the first time we’ve ever left a restaurant and immediately gone somewhere else to salvage our evening and get a proper meal.
This wasn’t a meal. This was an experience. I wouldn’t feed this to my enemies. I might feed it to someone who owes me money.
Save yourself the disappointment, and the money. Go anywhere else.
Shut it down. Start over. Preferably with someone who’s actually seen a...
Read moreMy family and I love eating here!!! We live 25 minutes away, but are willing to drive here even if there are some Asian buffets closer to us. I'm not sure why this restaurant has such low ratings. I guess some of the low ratings were from the old management, or I don't know if they have off days. Either way, we have enjoyed eating here every time we went. Let me break it down for you... I was looking for a Chinese buffet in the area which had crabs, oysters, mussels and crawfish. Most of the buffets near us either don't have all of those or are extremely overpriced...or both. When I found this place, I was ecstatic. Their crawfish was perfectly cooked, just the right amount of spice, and tasted fresh (of course this was in the summer during crawfish season). They also have extra Cajun seasoning on the side for those who want more. I would call before going there though to make sure, since these items can be quite seasonal. They have a good amount of food choices. Sure, there are some buffets that are bigger and some that are smaller, but I don't understand people who give 2 stars just for this. They have a sushi bar, salad bar, Hibachi, and desserts on top of the usual entrees. Their cream cheese puffs actually have lots of cream cheese unlike other places with mostly air, and are perfectly fried. Their vegetables and fruits are fresh. They have actual ice cream, not just soft serve (but yes, they have that too if that's your thing). The entrees are seasoned very well. The place is clean, with ample parking. The staff are very friendly, and our servers have always been very attentive. Sounds like 5...
Read moreThis is one of the worst Chinese buffets I have ever been to. The food they serve is cold at times. The biggest problem is the quality of the food that is served at this location. You can definitely tell by looking at the food served here that it's reheated at times. Don't ever eat the salad it's always wilted, and the croutons are mixed in making this a gross mushy mess. I tried to eat some of the crab, but it was smelling and super mushy, and they were tiny in size compared to other buffets. Business must be really slow. The reason I have come to this conclusion is that when they do add fresh food, it's always in very small quantities. I walked over to the dessert and fresh fruit section, and it was a disaster. I honestly feel like they never wipe anything down or stir the food to make it look appealing and presentable. This place is just a dirty mess. The windows are full of fingerprints. The tables look like they were wiped with a dirty rag, I don't even want to imagine what the kitchen looks like. Obviously, I would never return. I have given this location plenty of chances. If you like shrimp, it's probably the best item on the steam table. The shrimp are large and taste good. They are fried with a spice sprinkled on them, no batter, just deep-fried. The bathrooms are hit and miss when it comes to cleanliness, but on a positive note, they do have hot water, liquid hand soap, and...
