I always order for pick up so I don't know about the atmosphere but the service is generally decent until last night. Let me just say that I have been dealing with depression since my brother was recently killed and I also have other medical conditions, all of which I am being treated for and yesterday I had been up since 3 am because I have had trouble sleeping since my brother was killed. I had also spent the day deep cleaning my house and running errands. I was at HEB when I called in my order at about 10:40 pm and I was exhausted. When I got to Dan's I asked the girl with glasses working the counter if I could use the restroom as it was close to closing time. She said that I could and directed me to the only restroom in the place that was working. At this time she did not mention any kind of time limit on the use of the facility and there was nothing posted on the door or in the restroom. I used the facility, washed my hands and face, then I got my pizza and got in my car, which was the parking lot, to leave. At this point I fell asleep, my friend was with me knew I was exhausted and had not been feeling well so he was going to let me catch a power nap for ten to fifteen minutes, he thought nothing of it because we had not been drinking or anything else illegal. He was on a phone call when the girl with the glasses that had been working the counter came outside and said we couldn't be doing that there. He was dumbfounded because he had no clue as to what she was ranting about at this point she told him she had called the police and an ambulance. The police and ambulance came and checked me out and I was okay, just exhausted. I let my friend drive the rest of the way home. It really makes me angry that she assumed there was something wrong or that we were doing something illegal. She did not even bother to ask my friend anything before passing judgement. I mean, who is she? She is the counter girl at Dan's pizza, not nurse or a detective for that matter. If I have to go pick up my pizzas at Dan's and worry about the counter help calling the law on me or passing judgement on me for no reason, I just won't go there anymore, I mean the pizza is awesome but it's not worth that headache or hassle I mean just who does she think think she is, she does not anybodies situation but her own and what she did was wrong. You just don't go around accusing people of things if you don't know them or have the facts to back it up. She caused me an awful lot of unnecessary drama over picking up my pizza and that is...
Read moreI completely agree with Corina’s earlier review. The pizza at this location is consistently outstanding—I’ve never had a complaint about the food itself. However, the service during my visit yesterday left much to be desired. It felt like the staff’s internal issues were spilling over into the customer experience, which is unacceptable, especially for a new customer like me.
I arrived around 10:25 PM, aware that it was close to their posted closing time of 11 PM. I asked the bartender if I could still dine in, and he explained that their last call was at 10:30 PM, which I understood and respected. I decided to place a to-go order instead. That’s when another staff member, Casey, jumped in, correcting the bartender by saying the actual closing time was 10:45 PM. The tension between the two was palpable, with Casey visibly annoyed and arguing about the miscommunication. Casey ended up taking over, apologizing repeatedly for the situation and explaining how they’d all had a long day—something he mentioned more times than I could count.
While I appreciated his apologies, it was uncomfortable to witness their disputes and hear about their personal frustrations while I was just trying to enjoy my meal. On top of that, the other staff members were giving me and my girlfriend unfriendly looks. By the time our last dish arrived, one of them muttered, “Finally,” which felt unnecessarily rude. My girlfriend was so uncomfortable that we decided to pack up our pizza and leave.
Honestly, I wouldn’t have minded if they’d just told me upfront that they couldn’t serve us so close to closing time. I would’ve happily taken my order to-go from the start. Instead, the rushed service and negative attitudes completely ruined the experience.
This isn’t my first disappointing visit to this location. The first time I came, there was a fire in the building, and we were all evacuated mid-meal. While I understood the safety concerns, I still had to pay for my unfinished food, which felt unfair. Now, during my second visit, I experienced poor service, uncomfortable comments, and burnt wings that seemed like they might have been intentionally overcooked given the staff’s attitude.
The only reason I’m even considering returning is the pizza—it’s truly excellent. But from now on, I’ll stick to to-go orders. My dine-in experiences here have been a waste of money and far...

Let’s start with parking, unable to park, even with handicap parking! If you try to arrive during prime rush hours or days (holidays & weekends).
Even when your pulling in or attempting to leave. Large delivery trucks block 3-5 spots while they do their job. So expect to wait a good 20-30 mins if this happens to you on either end.
If you happen to be picking up your order. Expect to have a line, standing outside or crowded at their pick up door. While attempting to speak with 1 person only dealing with carry out orders. If your lucky to see a 2nd person, don’t kid yourself he will be busy answering phones the entire time not assisting with the people in front.
Now if you happen to dine in, service is a hit or miss. Depending on who’s working, how busy it is, etc. So if you need anything make sure to order 2 before they step away. Items such as utensils, drinks, sauces, etc. Again prime time hours will affect your experience here inside. Full or empty.
While flavors are very subjective. The wings here, nothing special. Last order had next to no sauce, no heat, they were practically naked for hot wings. I’ve had better from Pizza Hut. My suggestion is that you may want to check your quality control on what goes out here. Because it’s fallen greatly from where you were.
We’ve ordered and attempted to order the deep dish a few times. And while they prefer to have the order the day before. They have been able to accommodate prior as well w short notice. So that’s also hit or miss depending on who picks up the phone.
The only positive I can say about this place is that the people are nice. But the service leaves a lot to be desired.
Lastly -Scaresdale location isn’t much better. We stopped by during the summer after they opened this location.
Their AC was broken, they had no place to sit as a family to enjoy their meal. Parking lot is small again.
It was more of a bar style sitting. We immediately turned around and left.
We’ve never...
