One of my favorite places to visit is Dunkin’ Donuts. The staff here is always moving & grooving, and some of the most kind people I have ever met. What I like about the staff is the understanding of the menu items, and their associated costs. Most importantly, the diversity in personalities. you can always be greeted with a smile. Compared to any where else I shop, I have the most efficient and smooth register transactions. Even better than my bank somedays..lol. The staff is always friendly, at hand, and at task keeping the cafe/storefront tidy and clean.
It goes without to say though that if Dunkin’ Donuts is going to ever open a new urban flagship, or a new storefront amongst an urban demographic..Then there is no other employee than Antwand Roshell. That should be that store manager..or owner if y’all have the trust. Or, if there is someone who deserves to have full-time employment. When I say I have never seen someone professional move with so much culture, joy, wit, than my man’s Antwand, I have not seen it. I have never seen customer service like it. My man man’s Antwand’s customer service is so good…chick-fil-a called HIM for advice. Haha.
the first time I ever heard Antwand interact, I was busy with my face in my writing journal where I then heard a customer requesting different menu items, in the swiftness of the conversation Antwand was able to slow the customer down, then asked him where he was from. Before the customer could respond Antwand pin-pointed not only the state, but the Burroughs the customer was from by just paying attention to his accent/dialect. The customer was so excited that someone recognized or related to them, the rest of the customers dialogue was positive, joyful, and even appreciative. I can assure you that that customer had their day made; The customer walked out with a smile that day.
The next time I visited, I spent too much money buying donuts. And guess who it was that stopped me and showed me a promotional deal that Dunkin’ Donut’s does? Yup, that maaaan’s Antwand.
I recently visited what was my first time back at this particular Dunkin’ Donut’s chain. I had some writings to attend to and finish. On top of getting over a cold, I can definitely say I was finished stressed out. But what was cool was that Antwand showed the same upbeat mood amongst the other staff members. As I was taking a writing break from a personal project I was writing..Antwand asked me, “Whatcha got going on there boss?” Honestly, feeling overwhelmed I said, “Man I’m just stressed. Maybe, I’m just thinking too much.” Antwand furrowed his face and said…”Maybe YOU need to think too much.” And went to finishing his task. I took a step back and was able to finish my writings planned for the day.
It’s like if there is any person who understands how to navigate the many different isms that come with customer service. It’s your man Antwand. If there is a Dunkin’ Donuts that has a location amongst students, professionals, or the everyday “layman”, Antwand needs to be heading that flagship. I believe his ability to genuinely connect with customers brings monetary outcomes. I personally don’t know Antwand beyond Dunkin’ Donuts, but my man’s deserve every opportunity to earn the pay that is associated with his superb skills, and effective customer service skills. I genuinely want to see...
Read moreMy first time at this location. Went in for an iced coffee and a doughnut. Told the cashier that I wanted a large iced coffee, French vanilla, cream and sugar. I was then asked how many pumps of vanilla I wanted. I was confused because I had never been asked this at the other Dunkin's I have been to. Then she asked, "4"? So I just said sure. I then told her that I wanted the liquid sugar, not granulated. As another location always put granulated sugar in my iced coffee. Which apparently meant that my order had changed and I had to start over because there wasn't a button for liquid sugar lol. I repeated my order for the coffee. She said, "ok, anything else"? I said, "yes, I'd also like a sour cream donut". I was given an old fashioned donut and a French vanilla iced coffee with no cream or sugar (according to the sticker on the cup). So I asked where the creamer and sugar were. The cashier explained that I didn't want creamer, just liquid sugar... I said, "no ma'am, I wanted cream and sugar. I just didn't want granulated sugar in my iced coffee". All I got back at first was, "well, that's what you ordered". Flustered by the whole interaction, I just asked for a straw. The cashier asked "well do you want creamer?" So I said "can I have a straw? Or where are the straws". She pointed to the straws along the wall. I grabbed one and left without checking the donut. So it was a frustrating experience. Only to have both parts of my order wrong. Won't be making a return trip...
Read moreWe just moved to this area 3 days ago. After days of moving and unpacking and all the ordeal that comes with it, my daughters (which loved Dunkin’s from our old area) and myself needed needed coffee and some breakfast for our early errands run of that day. We ordered 4 drinks, donut holes and a breakfast sandwich. They told us to move our car forward, since they have that tunnel thing, so I did. After waiting for like 8 min I want to say, they tell us to move into an actual parking spot… by this time I’m already getting aggravated because of my time schedule that I had planned for that morning. What pissed me off was that I started seeing all cars leaving and getting their orders except us, even people were going inside the store and getting their orders served and leaving but ours??!!!! Nothing… I get off my car and walk in and they were still fumbling around with our order…. By this time it had already passed like 15 min total!!! Are you freaking kidding me? For 4 drinks?? Hell nah! This was absolutely awful service… oh and they had enough staff to say that was the issue, but it wasn’t. I did tell them that their service was horrible! I don’t plan on going back, I’m very disappointed since we actually love Dunkin’s, but I won’t go through...
