Finding healthy and delicious meal options at airports is very challenging; especially when you have food sensitivities. But today, I was pleasantly surprised when I ate at El Premio at the International Houston Airport (near gate c37). I ordered the chopped salad with arugula and added short ribs….. oh my, soooo good! Plus they played Manu Chao, which made the experience even more savory. I even got to personally compliment the Chef and let her know I could taste her passion for cooking in the food. We gotta let people know the good not always complain!! They all work hard here and you can tell. So when you’re at the Intl Houston airport, be sure to stop by at El Premio and try this salad or explore for yourself ~ provecho! ~ Caya

I left a comment on my survey- The meal was not worth $53 but the service was great Not sure I’ll be back unless I hear from employees that they enjoy their experience working there…else investing makes no sense … Management should take into consideration the well-being of their employees. While there may be a need for flexibility in staffing and filling positions, it is important for management to prioritize creating a positive work environment. This industry may be fast-paced, but it is crucial to remember that the individuals working here are human beings who deserve to enjoy their experiences. It is time to put an end to the notion that pushing through pain is an acceptable coping mechanism. Instead, I believe it is more beneficial to engage with wait and bar staff, rather than relying solely on technology, which can contribute to physical ailments such as carpal tunnel syndrome and hunchback syndrome. Self-preservation is essential, but without proper support, both employees and the business will suffer. If assistance is needed in implementing effective HR practices to ensure a high-quality experience for staff, leadership, and clientele, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

The WORST airport food I’ve ever had!!! Houston airport…they have pictures of each item and you order from the screen at your “table”. The first try was the chopped salad & when the tiny dressing-drenched $16 salad arrived I told the server it was unacceptable- because the “cook” is just at the back of the restaurant I went back when I heard her complaIning…. I asked her to look at the picture and then at my plate, she then got combative and assured me it was the same ingredients just mixed up & she would (condescendingly) told me she’d remake one and “put everything neatly on top so that I could see it was there!” …but that they were out of corn snd 2 other ingredients!!!! I said never mind, I will order the chicken wings at like $18 !!! Although they had good flavor, were tiny, emaciated, over-nuked and AGAIN: NOT like the PICTURE!!! (See both photos below!!) I just gave up & ate it- they clearly couldn’t possibly get anything else right! You have to order and pay at your personal electronic menu and I was told it would all be made right on my credit card that night/ which actually was not for a few days AND they added an unauthorized 40% TIP!!! Avoid this place at all costs!!!!!

Came here during a lay over and wow! One of the worst experiences had! Sat down and got walked by many times, no greeting. Usually the QR code is an optional ordering method. Apparently not here, we used it to order. Then it took another 20 minutes to even get a drink. The food was awful and missing ingredients and even when the stuff was brought out it was just slapped in front of us and no words said at all!!! No greeting, kindness or service. Just a robot but you still are asked for a tip. If you have to eat here tip 0%! There is no service at all or follow up or check ins at all. We quickly finished and took off rather than having another drink. This place is awful and we heard others having issues too, this was not just us or our experience! Highly not recommended!

Service was good but the meat was cold…less than room temp - for me and the two people next to me. And the ordering system is a little clunky. It’s not TabbedOut app by UNION that I’m accustomed to.
