I was driving home and saw this place and decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did. The inside is pictured out with all the window signs but was meticulously clean inside. As I went I. There were two people in front of me and three or so waiting on their orders. The young woman there was very nice and took orders quickly. I ordered a mangonada for $6 and they had a chip enabled credit card machine so it was easy. I waited for about 10 minutes and wondered why things were taking so long, until she came out with a few orders with multiple drinks each. I saw some raspas and licuados and thought if my mangonada looked half as good as those, I'd be very happy. After another couple orders of multiple drinks were filled, my mangonada came out looking like the professionally taken photo on the wall! I was quite surprised how every drink I saw coming out from back looked professionally prepared. I was so hoping it tasted as good as it looked - and I was not disappointed. While I am not Latino, I've had my fair share of drinks from refresquerias and I can without a doubt say this was one of the very best. I could clearly taste real mangoes in the smoothie mixture. The chamoy tasted fresh - and as I said, artfully lined inside the cup. And the fresh mangoes were perfectly diced into small chunks and had a perfect ripeness. Given the amount of time for the wait, I can tell my order was prepared carefully and I can see why the other patrons ordered so many drinks! Great job, Fruteria Queens! ...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWas in the mood for Mexican snacksā¦so we stopped by #FruteriaQueens on Hillcroft & Windswept, only to be disappointed
The Mangonada is milk based WTH?! With very little natural mango. The serving is generous, they make them in a 24 oz cup but the quality is a 4 on a scale from 1 to 10
The Chamoyada is water based, wich is right. BUTā it tasted like cuminā¦it was not good AT ALL.
The mango smoothie was the only good thing we got there. I did not try it, but the person who did said it was good.
All in all, the Mangonada was more than the usual diabetes in a cup, and very disappointing. The Chamoyada was pretty gross. It tasted like there was Maggie seasoning in it.
Whoever bought this little place out is doing a disservice to the people who are looking for a good snack.
IF I ever HAVE to get anything there, I will just buy a box of mangos, which upon inquiring about the price was told it is $15 per box.
The people working there were very efficient...

Items are presentable, place its nice and the desserts are really good. I feel like the costumer service needs to improve so first time costumers come back:
as many hispanic guests, I too work in the hospitality industry and would love to see more Hispanic businesses flourish but one thing we need to get right is costumer service and first impressions. There are no spare costumers. Welcome your guests, suggest items, thank them and check if they enjoyed their choices.
and the ambiance surely feels a bit like a bar vibe with the type of music they were playing the day we visited-i personally, would not like my kids to be watching hispanic music for adults and at the same time drinking out of a tequila bottle in a āfamily intendedā dessert/fruteria setting.
This place is very...
