This review relates more to the management moreso than the food itself. The manager, Venkat, proved to be unprofessional with his response to a catering order. This was our second catering order this year, and this particular order was for a party of 40. A delivery fee was paid and the promised delivery time was 7pm. At 7:15, I called to inquire where the delivery was, and the person who answered did not know why there was a delay and said the food was picked up at 6:10 pm. The order arrived at 7:45 when the majority of guests were at the venue, and the delivery person stated that traffic was the cause for the delay. We then had to set the food up, while guests helped. This was definitely an embarrassment.

After a few text exchanges with Venkat, he stated that the delivery person said someone on the road had a seizure the delivery person had to assist and wait until 911 arrived. I found this to be a cooked up story and was disappointed that this was all he could come up with in 48 hours. Another 24 hours passed and I contacted him again and stated i did not need to chase good customer service and requested that the delivery fee be refunded. This time, Venkat came up with another story that the promised delivery time was 7:30...nice try, but not the case.

Finally he stated he would not refund the delivery fee and this was Houston and there is "traffic". I found him to be extremely unprofessional, caustic, and most certainly does not need to be customer facing. This place has been around forever. The food used to be excellent. It was always busy. But looks like it’s been taken over by new management. Beware Beware. Food was absolutely terrible. The samosas and snacks on the hot wok were cold and stale. This is at 2pm on a Saturday when it peak lunch h buffet time. The goat curry was aweful. Out of the 3 pcs I picked two of them were just bones. The 3rd pc that had some meat on it was uncooked. The palak paneer had no flavor at all. The tandoori chicken looked it was cooked a year ago and re-heated 12 times. Ordered a sweet lassi to wash everything down. It tasted so bad. For no reason there was rose flavor to the sweet lassi unless it was dish washing liquid that I was tasting with the lassi. And finally the Kheer was totally watered down. As I was paying the bill - saw a freezer with the kulfi ice cream on the stick. I grabbed one thinking they can’t mess this up since they didn’t actually make it. It’s a packaged item. Wrong!! As soon as I opened it. It was covered in ice from being freezer burnt. So I paid $28 for this punishment which I still don’t know how when the lunch buffet was only $18.

Finally came home and 2 hours later got a terrible stomach upset that I’ve been dealing with two days now just trying to clear all the Nik from my system. It’s so sad this place used to be amazing. I’ve gotten food catered from here for so many parties. And now after so many years it’s just turned into a badly run and...

Nice and quiet atmosphere. The place was not busy when I came in. I was immediately tended to by waiters: iced water, some chip-like bread with 2 choices of dip. One was sweet and the other sour. I really like the sour one, dipping the bread while waiting for my appetizer to arrive. I have ordered Panjabi Samosa and it quickly arrived. It was just like I expected, stuffed with spiced potato with fried shell around it. The taste was good. Next, after a little wait, came the main course, Lamb Vindaloo with rice and raita. the The meat was great, spicy and tender, just like I wanted and raita nicely complemented it. I have also decided to go for dessert and ordered Rasmalai. It was a first for me trying this dish and I was smitten away by it. I would definitely order it again. So, the whole experience was a success. On top of that they offer a coupon on their website for 20% dinner and that helped offset the price of dessert. After all, the waiter has bagged all the leftover food for me. I like also, that during that he wrapped all boxes in the food wrap, which nicely prevented it from spilling during further transportation. The location of place wishes to be better, half empty strip mall, but the food is worth it. The prices are pretty fair, considering I had taken home about half of my food. I will definitely will...
