Hummus Republic NW — Restaurant in Houston

I visited this fairly new restaurant recently and had high hopes. Unfortunately, my experience was cut short. I had to park in the back since there was no parking in the front, and as I was walking in, I noticed an employee outside smoking. By the time I reached the front entrance, that same employee was already heading into the kitchen without washing his hands. That was enough for me to turn around and leave.

It’s disappointing to see something like this, especially at a new establishment trying to make its mark. Proper hygiene is a basic standard in any food service business, and it’s concerning that no one seems to be overseeing these things.

Very impressed with this place! The service was very friendly and informative, I tried a bowl and the combination options are endless. The veggies were all fresh, the hummus was very flavorful with about 5 different options. The lemon chicken and falafel were both delicious. Please choose this place over Chipotle. Last time I went to Chipotle I spent 3 days making good friends with the toilet. This place is a better choice ignore Chipotle!
