Dasher experience horrible. Bad business for customers and dashers. Went to pick up order. Merchant complained about the name of pickup person. Then merchant called door dash they couldnt understand them so demanded dasher call door dash. Dasher refused as this was creating to much time and frustration for both dasher and customer waiting for food. Dashers are an independent contractor who work for themselves they have a right to use anyone they want to help with the food deliverys. Dasher canceled the delivery and left. Will not be delivering for this company again. They need to remember this is hurting thier buisness as well when they cause so much trouble to pick up an order. Buisness needs to read the guidelines set forth by door dash so this issue doesnt effects another customer or dasher in the future. Sorry to the customer who had to wait extra long for another dasher to pick up thier order. Hopefully that dasher didnt have issues. So if ordering through door dash be careful it may take longer then necessary until this merchant understands door dash delivery system.
Response to owner Thanks for your response. And no not new. Been doing this for a long time.I am sorry you had an issue with previous dasher. We have no knowledge or control over a previous dashers mistake. We are only there to pick up our orders and deliver them in a timely manner. We also cant sit on the phone fixing someone elses mistake. Any mistakes made from previous dasher has to be addressed by the merchants and the door dash company. We cant fix someone elses mistakes. If you would like to create a better system for deliverys with door dash you can add notes for your dashers in the door dash system. Just contact door dash and let them know. That way going forward you wont have issues and create delays for the customers. Hopefully next time you wont take it out on the dasher trying to get the order to the customer. We also are busy just trying to get the orders to the customers in a timely manner. One last bit of information to add . Dashers are on a time frame when the restaurant doesnt have the food ready this causes the dashers to have bad reviews for getting the food to customer on time. This ultimately effects the dashers. So the only way to avoid this is by canceling the order when the food isnt ready at the time it is suppose to be and let another dasher come and get the food so thier rating doesn't get effected by the merchants delay of getting the food out on time. Well, this used to be one of my favorite restaurants. Until last night. I ordered my usual delivery order at 4 pm. It took an hour to get there, which I didn’t care much because it was a Saturday. The food tasted soggy like it was from lunch time. But that wasn’t the biggest disappointment...Immediately after eating my meal I became violently ill and spent most of the night throwing up. When I called the restaurant to tell them what happened, the lady who answered the phone apologized and gave the phone to the manager.
Get this : The manager told me “there was nothing wrong with the meal. Maybe you are just sick from something else.” And actually, that was literally the only thing I had ate all day since I worked a long shift. I have worked in the restaurant business before, so I know food poisoning can occur from numerous things. Undercooking, bacteria, cutting boards not cleaned in between lunch and dinner rushes. He didn’t even apologize. With the tip, I ended up paying around 35 dollars for food poisoning.
Needless to say, this is no longer one of my favorite restaurants, and I will never go here ever again or take any of my friends / family here.
Edit: I didn’t ask for a refund because I wanted to make it pretty clear I was very sick and not just looking for a free dinner. But to have the manager not even say sorry...yeah, don’t bother replying or contacting me to try to compensate me in hopes I will take down my review. It’s staying. You earned it. Any apology at this time is pointless...
Read moreWe ordered the shrimp and chicken with vegetables, hot and sour soup, crab rangoons and the Bobo platter. When we ordered we said we have a coupon for 5.00 off 25.00 or more order. They said ok and gave us the new amount. When the sweet delivery person arrived, we were told we needed to provide a copy of the coupon. We said they did not tell us that. We showed the coupon on my phone and wrote down the code etc. The employee called the boss, Josh or Henry- the manager and told us he said the money would come out of their delivery pay if no coupon is provided. So i gave 5.00 and said do not worry about it. I called and spoke with Henry, explained we were not instructed to provide a copy and he said that was the rules of the owner and nothing he could do. He was very rude, I explained we have ordered many times in the past and this was never an issue. He said it was not his problem. I told him I was going to give a bad review and he said he didnt care. This was all before i had a chance to look at the greasy, dried out and old food. I have attached a picture but it looks much better than it is in true form. They do not treat the customer, employee, or food right. We are not ordering from them in the future. The chicken on the Bobo platter was horrid. Way overcooked and greasy. The entire platter tasted very greasy and old. We did not eat this food.
