Jack in the Box — Restaurant in Houston

TL;DR Easily accessible. Long lines, relatively quickly. Seating area. Good flavour, nothing standout.

Location: It's hard to miss, as it's right with the rest of the restaurants in a transitional part of the airport. There is various seating areas all around there and enough space for a large line, as there was when I got there.

Service: It was relatively quick, considering the large orders but I guess they are used to it and have an effective system in place for this specific location.

Food: This was my first time trying this chain so I don't have itself to compare to but in contrast to other burger chains, I felt the patty was quite small, at about 1/2" thick. The bread is indeed really buttery, which was a plus. The burger as whole as pretty decent but nothing special with a nice balance with the compliment of the cheese.

The fries tasted and felt like a mix of McDonalds, Taco Bell and Wendy's. They were very oil so having some sort of dipping sauce would be ideal to give it balance.

Ultimately, I may try it again but try another item on the menu and maybe opt for no fries or...

First of all, Jack-in-the-Box is one of the most amazing places to eat as far as fast food goes. However, the Jack-in-the-Box in terminal A of the IAH airport is absolutely the worst excuse for Jack-in-the-Box I have ever experienced. Less than mediocre. When you order a breakfast value meal, and ask the clerk to hold the drink, it should still come with a hash brown. Well, it didn’t. When I inquired about my hash brown, they told me “you didn’t order a value meal”. Because for some crazy reason they must think that if it doesn’t include a drink, it’s not a value meal. So I bought a hash brown separately, which was fried so hard, it was equivalent to a stack of cardboard. Never again will I go to the Jack-in-the-Box in IAH airport. Lastly, whoever heard of a Jack-in-the-Box that doesn’t serve a freaking breakfast jack!! Their management should really consider evaluating and possibly replacing the staff they have serving the public on a Sunday morning. This is a good location. Definitely an easy drive and when you pull in the parking lot was absolutely immaculate. Going through the actual drive-thru wasn't so bad either. Those slight turns can be a little bit tricky but once you're able to maneuver that the little talking screen will definitely be able to help you order enough food to kill III Buffalo. And when you pull up to the service window you are greeted by probably the most friendly people that you can find at 2 or 3 in the morning. Always ready to get to your sauces and they for sure always check to make sure that your order is 100% correct before they handed over to you and that includes to drink. I can't necessarily remember which drink or what food I ordered because I wasn't necessarily the driver and I was probably passed out in the back of the car however what I did see and the few moments of lucidity I was able to retain, this is one nice...
