Jade's Teahouse — Restaurant in Houston

It looks like a cute place online, so I decided to do some work here and try it out. Was very happy when I enter this place. Like the hip decors and cozy feeling. Couch is not good for working, so we have to sit on bar stools which is uncomfortable for working on your laptop. I didn't mind too much about it. However, I think the service they provided was very disappointing. I came to the bar area after I settled in the tea shop with my computer, and asked if I they have Wi-Fi here. Instead saying yes they have it, the girl said the Wi-Fi is for paying customers only. OKAYYYY, RUDE! I was very offended by this. I understand something happened before for them to do this, but they can simply say, " we do provided Wi-Fi here to the paying customers", or they can wait out to see if I did try to abuse their Wi-Fi without paying then come and nicely tell me it's not right to do that, either way I would appreciate it, but instead the way how they say it makes me feel that they assume I'm just gonna be one of those people.

But that's okay, I didn't say anything. Then later on I came to order with my friend while he is thinking of what to order in front of the counter, I asked what the Wi-Fi is, this girl looked at the girl beside her, the other girl said Wi-Fi is for paying customers only. OMG!!!!! Are you serious? What do you think both of us in front of your counter looking at the menu for? We just gonna cheat your Wi-Fi and do WHAT and WHERE?

She tried to explain why they say that which I already know what could possibly happened for them to do that. But seriously, are you saying because some people Might not be nice so just mistreat them so that you don't get hurt? If I am the business owner, I would rather people come in and make this place popular, its not like this business is that busy anyways. We are the only two people on a Saturday at 5pm!!!

What I am saying is I wont be unkind to people only because they might not be kind to me. That's just my humanity.

I will NEVER come back here again. But I hope they will change...

As a loyal and frequent customer, it is incredibly disheartening to witness the decline in service quality at this establishment. Although the tea itself is enjoyable, the overall experience has been consistently marred by unacceptable behavior and repeated mistakes. One staff member, in particular, exhibits an unprofessional and dismissive attitude, often responding to customers with hostility. On multiple occasions, she has deliberately erased my phone number from the rewards pad, preventing me from receiving points, and reacted with visible annoyance when I corrected it. She has also gotten my order wrong more than once, which only compounded the frustration. Even more concerning is the ongoing pattern of errors in fulfilling orders. I have received incorrect drinks over ten times, yet I was still charged for toppings and ingredients that were never included. This reflects a disturbing lack of attention to detail and a disregard for customer satisfaction.

I go to Jade's often since it is by my workplace. They have extensive offerings, over 20 different types of smoothies / slushies such as strawberry, and cookies and cream (see picture of the latter). There's also milk teas such as green and lavendar teas. They also have non-caffeinated teas such as the hibiscus strawberry (pictured). There are many different types of boba you can add to your drink. I always choose the regular tapioca boba. There are vegan options for milk. Every drink I've ordered has been delicious and is a great price. You can earn points toward a free drink with each purchase. Now that school's out, there is a calm, peaceful vibe in the tea house. There's free wifi so you can sit at the tables and get some work done. Once school starts, though, between 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., the place is packed with middle and high schoolers.
