Kanpai Club — Restaurant in Houston

This is a small bar connected to Hando. Usually this place is packed on Thursday through Sunday so I haven't had the chance to make it in but I though about swinging in on Monday and it was empty and got to enjoy the bar with a few friends.

The cocktails here are great, fairly good variety and all made very well for a reasonable price but very tasty - easy to get carried away. They also do have small bites - likely from Hando next door that also do the job well. The space is a little cramped but given its just the bar you can't really expect much.

Okay for how small this bar is, I honestly loved it! Perhaps a total of 15 barstools in one line so don’t expect a huge bar with sitting area or standing room. That of course is NOT an issue at all. This isn’t the bar you want to go to for the whole night, it’s more of a waiting and or prepping if you’re going to Hando. The good thing about this bar is that even if you are not going next door, the drinks here are super good and so is service which will make you want to go here just for the bar. Oh my gosh, this place is amazing! The sweetest bartender (Ramsay was their name, if I recall correctly) made the most amazing and beautiful drink I have ever had (pictured). I’m not sure what was in it aside from ube, but they need to add it to their menu! The people near us ordered it first, and Ramsay created it uniquely for them. Then we, and everyone near us, also ordered one after seeing how pretty it was and talking about how delicious it tasted.

Additionally, their happy hour deal is fantastic, and I was surprised that they also run it on the weekend instead of just weekdays. All of their amazing cocktails are only $7...
