Read moreThis was my first time at the exhibiting halls at NRG Center. We were exhibiting at the HAA 2024 Expo. I have to say - I was not impressed.
The parking attendants at the gates never greeted me. Just opened the window and held out their hand for parking payment.
The staff working the event would stop by each booth and take the giveaways from each table while they were working- prior to the event opening, during the VIP expo hour and the entire event. It was not just the house keeping staff, it looked like maintenance, operations staff and maybe a few of their management or coordinators as well.
During the event, the venue staff approached our booth and said we were plugged into power and they had no record of payment. First of all, they were looking at the wrong booth number while referencing there printed document. Second of all, this happened while the event was in progress. It was very unprofessional, very rude, and it deterred people from walking up to our booth and affecting our opportunities to speak with attendees. I understand the need for checks and balances, but that check list should have been completed prior to the start of the event, not while is was in progress.
I really hope HAA considers not using this venue for their events...
