This place is truly fantastic! From the moment I walked in, I could feel the warm and inviting atmosphere, making it the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a great meal. Whether you’re looking for a place to have a relaxing dinner or just grab a delicious drink, this spot delivers on all fronts. I have to admit, when I first looked at the menu, I was a bit taken aback by the prices. But after my first bite, I completely understood why. The food is absolutely delicious—every dish is crafted with such care and attention to detail, and you can tell they use high-quality ingredients. The flavors were rich, bold, and perfectly balanced, making every bite a delight. I genuinely loved everything I tried and found myself savoring each moment of the meal. One of the highlights of my visit was the service. I was attended to by Emily, who was nothing short of amazing. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure I had everything I needed throughout my time there. It’s always a pleasure to be served by someone who truly enjoys what they do, and her positive energy made the experience even better. I also have to mention the margarita she prepared for me—it was out of this world! I asked for one with Tajín on the rim, and it was the perfect combination of refreshing, tangy, and just the right amount of kick. After a long day, it was exactly what I needed to unwind. I could have easily had another one because it was that good! Overall, this place exceeded my expectations in every way. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality of the food, the amazing service, and the overall experience make it completely worth it. I will definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience. If you’re considering visiting, don’t hesitate—you won’t be...
Read moreI knew I was going to be in the area, so I scoped out the options ahead of time and stumbled across this spot. After reading the menu and reviews, I was feeling for tacos. I ordered a chicken fajita taco, carne asada taco (both on flour), and an al pastor taco on corn, plus chips and queso.
Tacos come standard with cilantro and onions, but I appreciated that the clerk offered me grilled onions since I am not a fan of raw. The carne asada was the winner of the night. It was flavor packed, tender, and just right. The tortillas tasted fresh, but they weren't toasted or cooked quite enough for my liking so they ended up a little flimsy. The chicken was just okay, not bad, but nothing that stood out. The al pastor felt more like pork with sauce than a fully integrated dish, and there was a bit too much sauce for me.
They provide both red and green salsa. The green has a subtle kick (I like spicy foods so I may be the wrong one to ask 🤪), while the red is mild and tangy. I'd happily have the red again and again. The chips were light, airy, and addictive while the queso though nothing groundbreaking was still tasty.
Overall, a solid taco spot that with a few tweaks could be great. In fairness I may have hyped this place up too much in my head and set unrealistic...
Read moreThis is really more like 3.5 stars. Just didn’t quite earn the 4th.
A friend had recommended this place, and I was running a nearby errand and needed a quick bite - so I popped in.
I ordered 2 tacos - one chicken fajita (from thigh meat) and shrimp.
The chicken was ok - but for thigh meat, it was a little dried out and not as luscious as you would expect. Dressed traditionally with onions and cilantro. Oddly enough - there was only one tortilla. Most street tacos come with two - since they’re thin. And of course - it crumbled.
On to the shrimp - they were the smallest possible popcorn shrimp imaginable - and heavily sauced in a chipotle sauce. With some spice but still very manageable. Again - the tortilla crumbled - and there was only the one…
I also got the chips and salsa. The salsa had an odd ketchup-y undertone and was a warm/cooked salsa (I generally prefer fresh and uncooked). Chips were fine.
Also, I had a Mexican Coke.
So after a tip (on counter service) my bill was almost $20 for two tacos. Chips and salsa, and a drink.
They’re so close to being good - but for the value and the minor points I mentioned, it’s not my togo- taco place. Too many other...
