Locatelli's — Restaurant in Houston

We've eaten there before and we've had issues with the service.

The beautiful young lady who was our server hit on my husband. which was absolutely ridiculous! Anyway. That was over a year ago. We thought we'd try this place again This time my mother ordered a large pizza to go. And I asked for a children's pasta.... I made it extremely clear. No garlic! I repeated it to the ladies. An older lady answered back. Sure no problem we can do that I. I said it again just butter plain butter and salt on Pasta. and I repeated it again. No garlic right?! They repeated. Yes, no problem.. My two year old son has an extreme allergy and a reaction to garlic.

I put the plate of Pasta in front of him tonight. he's got hives and he's red now. My two year old has An allergy to garlic.

I distinctly said no garlic. Just plain butter and salt.

That's absolutely ridiculous! Looks like we have a hospital bill. We're going to have tonight. I'm taking him to the e r right now. The Young lady that was serving us. Was sweet and polite. Apparently somebody misunderstood I clearly said no garlic. Quite a few times repeated.

I repeated that this was for a child. Many times! Why would they put garlic in children's food.

I find this absolutely ridiculous.

If I'm repeating that this is for a child. No garlic. Just butter aninsult. Why? Should I have screamed it out? Loud that my son has an allergy to garlic. Do not put it in there. If I wouldn't have noticed it. He ate more than he did. My son could die from this. That's...

I just spent $60 at this restaurant as a first time customer and had the most discourteous and unprofessional service there. It was so bad that I actually decided to leave a 1-star rating. To make matters worse, Adam, the owner of the restaurant left this snarky and sarcastic note, claiming that I was a fake customer (screenshot). When I tried to call the restaurant to speak with him about my experience like an adult and not an Internet troll, the restaurant wouldn't put me through. I simply called again and they did transfer me to someone and explained that the owner wasn't even there. I don't expect him to genuinely care, but now I understand why I had such an unpleasant experience if he's what they have to endure. He also refuses to call me back and have a simple and polite discussion. But my side salad was good, ranch was not runny like a lot places, and the pizza was flavorful and held up even being thin crust.

New update. Now the owner has reached out to us asking where I work and what I do for a living and going off on coming into my workplace and giving me a bad performance review too. This is insane. I would never dream of harassing a customer if they provided feedback! I just wanted to pick up pizza, two entrees, and a dessert, dude. Please calm down and stop bullying me into providing feedback that could improve...

Me and my husband visit here every week for our date, and this is BY FAR the best local pizza place in the neighborhood, if not the entire area. Every single thing my husband and I have tried, from their thin-crust pizzas to the french dip sandwiches to the lasagna all taste fantastic, and it's an especially good place to go for an affordable lunch, as a simple slice of pizza (which is actually 2 slices!) can run a couple only 20 dollars or so if they avoid appetizers and desert. But why would you? The tiramisu here is to DIE for, and the appetizers are just as great, from their toasted ravioli with just a HINT of jalapeno spice to their AMAZING Rho Rho Rolls, rolled pizza in a breadstick, are fantastic.

Even better, the staff have always treated me, and to my knowledge, every single customer, with more respect and kindness than has ever been necessary, even by customer service standards. My husband doodles while he watis for our food, and they've taken to putting his pictures on the wall next to the registers. Being a regular at Locatellis is like meeting up with familiar friends, and is always a good time.

10/10, would come here for weekly romantic dates and great food for nearly 6 months and...
