Mambo Seafood — Restaurant in Houston

I ordered my meals to go more than 20 minutes before pickup. As walking in the staff could be a little more inviting like greeting to saying hello or how can I help you. Instead they kind of just stand there and look at you like you should ask them for help. Then all the staff at and behind the counter who made eye contact several times and said nothing including the manager yet acknowledging me next in line. While waiting for the guy in front of me to stop flirting with the girl at the counter. Manager could have at least said, someone will be right with you. Not to be rude but letting the guy know that someone is waiting patiently behind him for their food who is also kind of in a hurry or a special occasion. Instead they just passed through staring at me. Saying nothing. As the guy was leaving he says, I'm sorry Mrs. I was too busy talking to notice anyone behind me next in line. He said, if I would have known you were there I would have cut the conversation short. Sorry again. The only reason that I decided to come to this location it was because it was if the area of the occasion I was going to. hope the next time I choose to come here it's a little more inviting. The food was prepared fresh and delicious have nothing bad to say...

It used to be great. Now they take forever. Food was decent. Prices are great. Bus boys are the only ones that look like they enjoy their job.

Waitress asked if we were ready, I said yes and pulled the Manu so I can point to what I want. Waitress may have misunderstood me because she said, "ok, I'll be right back".

After 3 minutes we called the waitress over so we can order our food. We ordered the special rice. Large.

I reset and start the timer again. Around 18 minutes later, we got tired of waiting and called the waitress over. She mentioned that there was a large order right before ours. -Yvette.

I understand that sometimes every one is busy, but at least come by and mention it withing ten minutes or so.

Also, why are there 1-3 people standing in the entrance area? I thought one of them would walk us to a table, but she just said, "donde quieran". -Olga.

Jose the bus boy was awesome. He greeted us and cleaned a booth for us. Dude was greeting people left and right. Smile on his face. Quick...

We go to this Mambo because the food is always really fresh & good but the other day my husband & I went to eat we didn’t like the service. The waitress didn’t bring us napkins until we asked for them and that’s when my hand was already full of shrimp juice from my tostada & then my husband ordered a Duo Combo with fish & stuffed shrimp & instead she brought him fish and regular shrimp. I told her his order was wrong and that he was missing the stuffed shrimp and she said she would bring him the stuffed shrimp he was missing and idk wth this girl was thinking that she only brought him 1 when the order comes with 2 stuffed shrimp. We didn’t even say anything anymore because we were in a rush but in the end she didn’t even pick up our plates and didn’t even bring us the bill ,my husband handed her the card and she still never gave us an actual receipt just the one to sign & I think she charged us for the damn stuffed shrimp she brought us.
