I stopped by this McDonald’s on Bissonnet before an appointment because I needed somewhere to sit and take a virtual meeting. It was right around lunchtime, but surprisingly, it wasn’t too crowded—definitely a plus. I was actually impressed by how clean and updated the space looked inside. There’s even a separate indoor play area with tables, which is perfect for parents trying to juggle a meal and kids needing to burn energy.
Since I had a little time, I decided to grab lunch. I went with the Crispy Chicken Sandwich (no pickles), and honestly, it was just okay—pretty much just meat and bread. The chicken was a little on the greasy side. My fries? Not the McDonald’s standard I’m used to. They weren’t as fresh as I’d like and needed more salt. I never have to add salt to McDonald’s fries, so that was a first. The Sprite, though? Hit just right—McDonald's still does soda better than most.
One thing that really caught my attention was the barrier between the cashier and the customers. It felt a bit intense—like something you’d see at a high-security counter. I get that it might be there for safety reasons, especially depending on the area and any past issues, but from a customer experience standpoint, it felt off-putting. It didn’t feel very welcoming, and it definitely took away from the dine-in vibe.
All in all, it was a decent visit. The space is clean and quiet enough to get a little work done, which I appreciated. They could definitely step up the food quality and reconsider the setup at the counter if they want the space to feel...
Read moreOk here is an update to my last review because i had swore about 2 years that i wasn't going to eat at McDonald's ever again - but first, I'm not I'm sure about other parts of the world that have McDonald's but here in Houston, Texas its just seems odd that they are not as competitive like JTB or WB with the versatile menu; But, Although I don't like that McDonald's not offering breakfast items as well as lunch or dinner items all day that i have to say and have to admit that McDonald's was the ONLY ones that was there and available where NO other restaurants were open when i was working Christmas Eve as well as New Years Eve while i was driving around town working Uber during those late holiday hours and had become super hungry and I did not want to spend more money on gas just to drive all the way back home which was far, yet McDonald's was the only available restaurant. Yes i know it was Christmas Eve but folks still need to get around and it's not the end of the world because some folks have to work sometimes on holidays (such as folks in the hospital have to work holidays) but one can understand what i mean. So a great deal of Thank You to those folks who worked those late hours during that time. But i digress that McDonald's seems to be the only ones with a plethora of great coupon offers that have come extremely helpful especially in my time of great need . Thank You 🙏🏻 McDonald's for all the free food and great affordable items that yall offer and for especially being available when no one...
Read moreif you want to know why customer service here is horrible keep reading The first time I️ had a problem with this McDonald’s was when I️ ordered a sausage McGriddle and they gave me sausage, egg, and bacon . So normally I️ asked for a new one and as I️ gave it back I️ expected them to throw away the old sandwich , instead I️ watched the cook lady in the back take it out the wrapper and put it in a new wrapper and send it to the drive through window . I️ told the manager and he did nothing about it . Second time was when there staff messed up and didn’t charge my mother correctly then got mad at my mother because according to them she had to make sure she was being charged correctly, so apparently it was her fault . My mother is Hispanic so she couldn’t really understand what they where saying so they scream at her and she just wanted to pay the difference and leave and she had no problem with that and instead the give her an ice cream (she did not order) and get mad when she decides she wants it and wants to pay for it . Before she leaves she gives back the ice cream and they THROW IT AT HER CAR . JORDAN OR SOMEONE NEED TO LET THIS MCDONALDS KNOW TO GET...
